The gates of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto are open once more, this time for those eyeing postgraduate studies. The school is welcoming new applications into its full-time and part-time programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.

What you can apply for
UDUSOK offers different categories of postgraduate awards. They include:
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Academic Masters
- Professional Masters
- M.Phil/PhD (with upgrade possibility)
- PhD

Cost and process
The application form costs ₦20,000, and you should expect a small admin fee attached. Payment is made online using any Nigerian debit card. Once that is out of the way, fill the form on the postgraduate portal and keep your details neat.
Do not forget, your transcripts must reach the secretary’s desk in time. Leaving it late is like missing a bus, the school will not wait.
Key notes for applicants
There are some red lines you cannot cross:
- Higher Diploma holders are not eligible.
- A “Pass” grade at Diploma or Degree level will not be accepted.
- NYSC certificate (discharge, exemption, or exclusion) is compulsory.
- PhD, M.Phil/PhD, Masters and LLM candidates must provide transcripts.
- Some faculties such as Arts and Islamic Studies, Education and Extension Services, and College of Health Sciences will run screening tests. Dates for those will come later.
