UNILAG Freshers Registration and Screening 2024-2025 Announced

University of Lagos (UNILAG) Registration and Screening for 2024/2025 has started. Learn the steps to complete your registration.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has begun the registration and screening process for all newly admitted UTME and Direct Entry candidates for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The exercise will run from Monday, 2nd December 2024, to Friday, 20th December 2024, and Monday, 6th January 2025, to Friday, 24th January 2025.

Candidates must adhere to the outlined procedures to ensure smooth registration.

UNILAG Freshers Registration and Screening 2024-2025

Stage 1: Booking a Registration Appointment

Candidates offered admission must schedule a registration appointment.

  • Visit the UNILAG Student Portal.
  • Log in using your JAMB Number or Application Number as your username and your surname in lowercase as your password.
  • Change the default password after logging in.
  • Click on “Appointment” in the menu bar.
  • Select “New Appointment.”
  • Choose the appropriate appointment option for your faculty.
  • Pick a date and session for the appointment.
  • Click “Schedule Appointment” and print the booking slip.

The appointment slip must be presented at the registration venue.

Stage 2: Uploading Required Documents

Candidates must upload the necessary documents before proceeding to the screening venue.

  • Log in to the UNILAG Student Portal using the credentials provided in Stage 1.
  • Fill out the bio-data form and print the screening form.
  • Upload the following documents (original copies):
    • JAMB Admission Letter.
    • O’Level Result.
    • Testimonial from the secondary school attended.
    • Previous degree certificate (Direct Entry only).
    • Birth certificate.
    • Letter of reference addressed to the Registrar, University of Lagos.
    • State of Origin Certificate.

Stage 3: Screening

Candidates must attend the screening at the scheduled date and time.

  • Submit two copies of each of the following documents:
    • Screening form from Stage 2.
    • UNILAG online application form (Direct Entry only).
    • JAMB acknowledgment slip (Direct Entry only).
    • JAMB admission letter.
    • UTME result slip (not applicable for Direct Entry candidates).
    • Post-UTME result slip.
    • JUPEB, A-Level, OND, HND, or BSc result slip (Direct Entry only).
    • O’Level result certificate (WAEC or NECO; online printouts are not accepted).
    • Letter of reference on official letterhead with NBA seal (for lawyers).
    • Birth certificate.
    • Testimonial from secondary school attended.
    • State of Origin Certificate matching the one used for JAMB registration.
    • Twelve passport photographs with full names written on the back.

Candidates must present the original copies of all submitted credentials for verification.

Stage 4: Payment of Fees

After completing Stage 3, candidates must generate a payment advice 24 hours later.

Payments can be made at any bank using the generated advice.

Stage 5: Faculty and Departmental Registration

Candidates must visit their respective faculties and departments to complete further registration processes.

Important Notices

Impersonation during the registration process will lead to forfeiture of admission and may involve legal action.

The university enforces zero tolerance for drug use, with mandatory drug tests conducted for all newly admitted students.

Students who test positive or fail to undergo the test will have their admission withdrawn.

Dates for matriculation and orientation programmes will be announced by the university.

UNILAG Diploma in Human Kinetics Admission Form 2024/2025

This is to notify all interested applicants that the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Diploma in Human Kinetics and Health Education Admission form 2024/2025 is now on sale.

This programe is for active sportsmen and women to gain education in Human Kinetics and Health Education.

This part-time diploma programme is organized by the Human Resources Development Centre (HRDC) in partnership with the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education (HKHE).

Applications are currently open for interested candidates.

Eligibility for Admission

  1. To apply for the UNILAG Diploma in Human Kinetics & Health Education, certain qualifications are required.
  2. Candidates must have five credits in WASSCE, NECO, or GCE O/L from a single sitting.
  3. These must include Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and one other science subject.
  4. Applicants must also possess a Coaching Grade III Certificate or a Diploma from the National Institute of Sports.

Duration of Programme

The diploma programme runs for two academic sessions.

This structure allows active sports participants to pursue their education while managing their sporting activities.

School Fees Shedule

  • The tuition fee for each academic session is N100,000.
  • An additional N10,000 will cover course materials.
  • The application fee is N17,000, and it is non-refundable.
  • Applicants must confirm payment with the bank before they can access the application form.

Method of Application for UNILAG Diploma Form 2024

  1. To apply for this programme, visit the HRDC Application Portal.
  2. Make sure the bank has confirmed your payment to access the form.
  3. If you encounter issues with payment confirmation, it is advisable to return to the bank for assistance.
  4. The password for the application will be your surname in lowercase.
  5. Ensure there are no errors in spelling when entering your surname, as this will affect your login details.

Submission of Application and Documents

Once you have completed the application, submit the Original Print-Out along with two photocopies of the following documents:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Application Fee Teller
  • Other Credentials

These documents must be submitted to the HRDC and HKHE Department no later than Saturday, 14th December 2024.

Check UNILAG School of Foundation Studies Admission List 2024/2025

UNILAG School of Foundation Studies Admission List, 2024/2025 is now available online

The School of Foundation Studies (SFS), University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released its Admission List for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

Important Information

  1. Applicants whose names appear on the Admission List scored Forty Percent (40%) and above in the Entrance Examination of the School and have been offered provisional admission.
  2. There will be a Screening Exercise for these applicants from Wednesday, October 2 to Friday, October 4, 2024 (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily) at the Multipurpose Hall.
  3. Lectures will begin on Monday, October 7, 2024
  4. Orientation Programme for all admitted students will hold on Thursday, October 17, 2024. (Attendance is Compulsory)
  5. Below is the Guideline for the Screening Exercise:

 

Steps to check admission List 2024

Visit www.foundation.unilag.edu.ng, click on Student Page and Log in to the Student Portal as follows:

Username:    Application Number (e.g. M23323999)

Password:    Surname (in Lower Case)

  • Update the Biodata Form:
    • Ensure names are correct and in proper order: Surname, First Name, Other Name.
    • The order of names should conform to details on Birth Certificate, NIN, and “O” Level Statement of Result.
    • Print Out the Biodata Form.
  • For Members of Staff of the University of Lagos, LUTH and retired members of staff of the University of Lagos, please visit the HRMD Office at the 2nd Floor of the Senate House to update your children’s biological status.

After that, return to the Student Portal to update the Biodata Form which will then reflect the Tuition Fee for Staff Biological Children. Thereafter, print out the Biodata Form.

  • Print out your provisional Admission Letter from the student portal, thereafter go through conditions guiding the admission as stated in the Acceptance Letter, if agreeable, download and generate Pay Advice for the payment of Twenty-Eight Thousand , Five Hundred Naira only (N28,500:00) as acceptance and ID card fees via the University payment platform.
  • After payment, go online to print out your Letter of Acceptance, sign it and proceed for the screening exercise.
  • The Screening Exercise will hold from Wednesday, October 2 to Friday, October 4, 2024 at the Multipurpose Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
  • Admitted Students must be physically present for the Screening Exercise.
  • These are the documents to be presented by admitted students at the Screening:
    • NIN Slip
    • Offer of Admission Letter
    • Duly signed Acceptance Letter/Evidence of Acceptance Fees.
    • Birth Certificate
    • Testimonial from Secondary School attended
    • “O” Level Result
    • Reference Letter from a Clergy/Imam/Lawyer/Senior Public Servant.
  • Bring along Original Copies of all credentials and 2 Photocopies of each original credential.
  • Return to your student portal at foundation.unilag.edu.ng and re-log in to generate your Pay Advice (This Pay Advice will include all other fees (payment of 50% of Tuition is available on the page).
  • With the Pay Advice, proceed to the bank to pay the other necessary fees including Tuition Fees. (It is MANDATORY that students pay at least half of the Total Fee before the commencement of Lectures)
  • Lectures resume immediately as scheduled on the lecture timetable (9am-6pm daily).

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) JUPEB screening for the 2024/2025 academic session is set to begin.

If you have been admitted into the JUPEB programme, this screening process is your next step.

You must attend the screening to finalize your admission.

UNILAG JUPEB Screening Details

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) JUPEB screening will take place from Wednesday, October 2, 2024, to Friday, October 4, 2024.

The screening exercise will be held at the Multipurpose Hall, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

Before proceeding to the screening, ensure your name is on the UNILAG JUPEB Admission List.

Preparing for the Screening Exercise

To participate in the screening, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the UNILAG Student Portal.
  2. Use your Application Number as your Username and your Surname in lowercase as your Password.
  3. Update your Biodata Form. Make sure your name matches your Birth Certificate, NIN, and O’Level Statement of Result.
  4. Print out the Biodata Form.

If you are a staff member’s child or a retired member of staff from UNILAG or LUTH, you must visit the HRMD Office at the Senate House to update your details.

Return to the portal after updating the information, and print out the updated Biodata Form.

Steps to Complete Before Screening

  • Print your Provisional Admission Letter from the portal.
  • Read and accept the conditions outlined in the Acceptance Letter.
  • Generate the Pay Advice to make the payment of N28,500 for your Acceptance Fee and ID Card Fee.
  • Once payment is made, print and sign your Letter of Acceptance.

Documents Required for the Screening Exercise

On the screening day, bring these documents with you:

  • NIN Slip
  • Offer of Admission Letter
  • Signed Acceptance Letter and Evidence of Payment
  • Birth Certificate
  • Testimonial from your secondary school
  • O’Level Result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB)
  • Reference Letter from a Clergy, Imam, Lawyer, or Senior Public Servant

Ensure you bring original copies and two photocopies of each document.

Payment of Tuition Fees

After the screening, return to the student portal to generate the Pay Advice for your tuition fees.

You must pay at least 50% of the Total Tuition Fee before lectures commence.

  • Lectures Begin: Monday, October 7, 2024
  • Orientation Programme: Thursday, October 17, 2024

All admitted students must attend the Orientation Programme.

UNILAG Direct Entry Admission form 2024/2025 Released

Be informed that The University of Lagos (UNILAG) online registration for Direct Entry (DE) admission into ALL UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES/COURSES for the 2024/2025 Academic Year, will commence on Monday, September 30, 2024 and end on Friday, October 11, 2024.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:

Eligible candidates should take the following steps on the UNILAG website www.unilag.edu.ng:

  1. • Click on Admissions
  2. • Click on 2024/2025 Direct Entry (DE) Application
  3. • Log in with Direct Entry (DE) Application number as username and surname in lowercase as password
  4. • Generate and print payment advice
  5. • Proceed to any commercial bank to make payment or pay online
  6. • Return to the University portal to complete the screening form
  7. • Click on Continue Application to complete the screening form
  8. • Upload relevant results (First Degree, HND, OND, SDA, JUPEB, Cambridge A’ Level, NCE, NFLV DIP, MUSON DIP, ABRSM, Trinity College London, Baccalaureate, DELF/DALF, O’level)
  9. • Click on Preview to verify the correctness of data supplied
  10. • Click on Submit
  11. • Print Direct Entry e-registration slip
  12. • Proceed to Admission Office, 1st Floor, Room 174, Senate House, UNILAG and submit printed Direct Entry e-registration slip and credentials from Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 18, 2024.

SCREENING FEE: ₦2, 000

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:

Candidates who made University of Lagos their first choice in the 2024/2025 Direct Entry (DE) JAMB application are eligible to register. Also, candidates must possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.

Please note that:

Candidates, who will not be sixteen (16) years of age by 31st October, 2024 are not eligible and need not apply.

Candidates should ensure that personal details (such as Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, LGA, etc.) are consistent in all their documents/results.

Candidates who do not participate in the online registration will not be considered for admission

Former students of the University whose admissions were withdrawn on the basis of poor academic performance or absence status could re-apply on condition that the new admission shall be for a new programme/course different from the former programme/course.

Any student expelled from the University cannot be offered fresh admission.
