AKSU Postgraduate Admission 2024/2025: Applications Now Open

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) invites qualified candidates to apply for admission into its postgraduate programs for the 2024/2025 academic year. All applicants must meet the university’s matriculation requirements to be eligible for admission.

How to Apply for AKSU Postgraduate Programs

Application Fee: The application form is available online for a fee of ₦20,000.00 (twenty thousand Naira), excluding transaction charges.

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit the Application Portal: Go to http://www.aksu.edu.ng/pg.
  2. Start the Application: Click the “Start Now” button.
  3. Select Enrollment: Choose “ENROL”.
  4. Choose Postgraduate: Select the Postgraduate option.
  5. Enter Contact Information: Provide a valid phone number.
  6. Verify Phone Number: Enter the last six digits of the phone number you provided.
  7. Fill in Personal Details: Enter your surname, first name, other names, date of birth, gender, and marital status.
  8. Make Payment: Click the card option to pay ₦20,700.00 using your debit card.

After Payment

  1. Repeat Steps 1-5.
  2. Complete the Online Registration Form: Fill in all required information.

Elizade University NUC Nod for Postgraduate Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin to run full-time Postgraduate programmes (LLM., M.Phil and Ph.D.) in Law and M.Sc. Architecture with effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.

This is based on the outcome of the resource verification visit by a panel of experts from the National Universities Commission to assess the human and material resources available in the University.

The Ag. Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Mr. Chris Maiyaki, who conveyed the approval in a memo to the Vice Chancellor, felicitated Elizade University on the stride and charged the institution to continue to provide adequate human and material resources for the development and growth of the approved programmes.

The programmes will operate on the University campus, with admission portals now opened at www.elizadeuniversity.edu.ng

General Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into any TASUED postgraduate programme must have a minimum of Five (5) credit passes, including English Language, obtained at not more than two (2) sittings.

Programme-Specific Requirements

  1. Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
    Applicants must have at least a Third Class Bachelor’s Degree or a Lower Credit in HND.
  2. Master’s Programmes (M.Ed., M.A., M.Sc.)
    Applicants must have at least a Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in their Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates with Third Class degrees can also apply if they hold a Postgraduate Diploma in the same field.
  3. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
    Candidates need a Master’s Degree with a minimum CGPA of 4.0. Those with a CGPA between 3.50 and 3.99 will undergo a conversion process into a full Ph.D. programme.

In addition to fulfilling the Departmental requirements for their programme, candidates must satisfy the under listed general requirements for admission into the Postgraduate School:

Candidates for Professional Master Degree must possess a minimum of Second Class Lower degree from Bingham University or any other university recognized by the Senate of the University.

Candidates for Master of Science (M.Sc) and Master of Arts (M.A) programmes, with first degree from Bingham University and other recognized Universities must possess a minimum of Second Class Lower in the relevant field.
