According to a statement from the university, the strike involves members of the non-teaching staff unions, including the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), and the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT). These unions began an indefinite strike to press for their demands, which include unpaid salaries and improved working conditions.

The university management has assured everyone that they are working hard to resolve the issue. They are in talks with the striking unions and relevant government authorities to find a quick solution. The goal is to ensure that academic and administrative activities continue without further disruption.
