By now, some people are already staring at their phones like it’s about to explode. Others? Acting like they didn’t even write the exam. Maybe na defence mechanism. But for those of you who are ready to check—or maybe your auntie won’t stop asking—this one is for you. I’ve made it simple enough, like indomie with only pepper and oil.
Yes, the West Afican Examinations Council (WAEC) confirmed that the 2025 May/June WASSCE results are now live.
Over 1.7 million students sat for the exam. About 87 per cent of them made it out with at least five credits. English and Maths or not, credit na credit.
What You Need Before You Start Clicking
Before you rush to the site like someone chasing free Wi-Fi, just chill small. Gather these things first:
- Your WAEC exam number – That’s your centre number plus seat number. Ten digits in all.
- The PIN and Serial Number – Look for them on the Smart ID card you used for the exam. You know, the one with your sleepy face.
No PIN? No wahala. There’s a way to get another one. Let’s talk about that.
How To Buy A New WAEC Result Checker PIN
So your PIN vanished? Maybe your younger sibling used the card to draw robot or it just disappeared like money on the last day of the month. Either way, here’s how to buy a fresh one:
- Visit the WAEC Request Portal
- When the page opens, wait for your transaction reference to pop up on its own
- Under “Request Type”, pick Request For Service
- Then choose Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker
- Enter your name, phone number and email
- Click to proceed and pay ₦4,250
Once payment goes through, your new PIN go land sharp sharp. Save it somewhere o. Don’t trust your memory too much.
How To Check Your WAEC Result Online
You’ve got the number, the PIN and the vibe. Time to check.
Head over to the WAEC Result Portal and do this:
- Enter your exam number
- Pick 2025 as the exam year
- Choose School Candidate Result
- Type in your PIN and Serial Number
- Hit Submit
Don’t start double-clicking like the mouse is dragging you. Just wait. Give it a few seconds. Your result go show.
No Internet? Use SMS Instead
If your internet is moving like NEPA light during rain, there’s Plan B.
Text format looks like this:
WAECExamNumberPIN*ExamYear
Then send to 32327.
Only MTN, Airtel and Glo dey allowed for this one. If you’re on 9mobile, try the online route. Or borrow someone phone, no shame.
It costs ₦30. If that sounds painful, think of it like paying for one meat pie that didn’t have meat inside.

Hit send. Wait. The result will show up in your inbox like an unexpected text from your crush.
