The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has announced a job opening for the position of Bursar. This office is no small task. The Bursar serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the University and is directly responsible to the Vice Chancellor. From overseeing funds to keeping accounts balanced across all campuses, the Bursar is both a principal officer and an active member of the University Management team.

Qualifications and Experience Needed

- Hold a B.Sc. in Accounting with at least Second Class Lower or its equivalent. A Master’s degree is acceptable too.

- Possess a recognised professional certificate such as ICAN or ANAN.
- A higher degree or fellowship will serve as an advantage.

Tenure and Salary
- Tenure: A single, non-renewable term of five years.
- Salary: CONTISS 15, with allowances and benefits approved by the University’s Governing Council.

Conditions and Age Limit
- Applicants must not be below the rank of Deputy Bursar in a university or similar setting.
- Candidates must be below 60 years of age at the time of assumption of duty.
