Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Basic Studies programme, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
- Candidates who wrote the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) but did not meet the cut-off mark for their desired course can apply.
- Students who need to improve their O’Level results to qualify for their preferred degree programmes are also eligible.
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for the AKSU Basic Studies programme:
- Visit the AKSU portal at https://portal.aksu.edu.ng.
- Click on the “REGISTER NOW” link on the login page.
- Select “Basic Studies 2025/2026 Registration” and complete the Pre-Payment Analysis Slip.
- Pay a non-refundable application fee of N5,000 (excluding bank charges) using your debit card or by generating a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) for payment at a bank.
- After payment, return to the portal to complete your registration by filling out the application form.
- Upload scanned copies of your credentials, including:
- 2025 UTME result slip (if applicable)
- O’Level result (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB)
- Birth certificate or age declaration
- Certificate of origin
- Print out the completed application form for your records.
