Wesley University, Ondo has officially announced the schedule for its 14th Convocation Ceremony, set to hold from Tuesday, 18th to Sunday, 23rd November 2025. The event will centre on the theme “J. Wesley Missiology & Education for Sustainable Development in the 21st Century.”
According to EducationNGR, the convocation week will bring together scholars, students, alumni, and distinguished guests to explore the intersections of faith, education, and sustainability in today’s dynamic world. The university continues to reaffirm its mission of promoting research and learning that respond to Nigeria’s social, ethical, and environmental realities.

A. International Conference
Dates: Tuesday, 18th – Thursday, 20th November 2025
The week will commence with an international conference featuring thematic sessions, scholarly paper presentations, and a press briefing. Participants will discuss key issues in mission studies, theology, and education for sustainable development. Highlights will include the launch of conference proceedings and a special journal presentation showcasing recent academic contributions from Wesley University’s researchers.
B. Convocation Ceremonies
Dates: Thursday, 20th – Saturday, 22nd November 2025
The main convocation events will include the Convocation Crusade, Convocation Lecture, and Project Dedication. Degrees will be awarded to graduating students from various faculties, while deserving individuals and partners will receive special honours for their contributions to education and community service. A Festschrift in honour of the Vice-Chancellor will also be unveiled to celebrate leadership and academic excellence at Wesley University.
C. Convocation Thanksgiving Service
Date: Sunday, 23rd November 2025
The celebration will conclude with a Thanksgiving Service to express gratitude for God’s guidance over the institution and its students. This closing event will also serve as a time of reflection, unity, and spiritual renewal within the university community.
