UNILAG Women Society School Recruitment for Teaching and Non-Teaching Roles

The UNILAG Women Society School (ULWS), a long-standing private nursery and primary school located within the University of Lagos, Akoka campus, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for its latest round of teaching and non-teaching appointments. About UNILAG Women Society School (ULWS)

Founded in 1967, ULWS provides early years and primary education in a safe, calm and child-friendly environment within the university community. The school maintains clear standards for teaching quality, welfare, and staff professionalism.

The new recruitment exercise includes:

  • Teaching roles in English, Mathematics, Creative Art, Physical Education and Phonics

  • Non-teaching roles in administration, accounting, cleaning and transport services

Applicants must meet the academic, professional, skill-based and age requirements for their chosen positions.

Teaching Positions Available

The following teaching roles are open:

  • Class Teacher III (English)

  • Class Teacher III (Maths)

  • Class Teacher III (Creative Art)

  • Class Teacher III (Physical Education)

  • Class Teacher III (Phonics)

  • Class Teacher II (Phonics)

  • Class Teacher II (Maths)

General Requirements for Class Teacher III (ULWSSS 6)

  • NCE in the relevant subject

  • Five O’Level credits in one sitting, including English and Mathematics

  • Teaching experience is optional but an advantage

Requirements for Class Teacher II (Maths) – ULWSSS 7

Applicants may qualify through one of three paths:

Path A:

  • NCE in Mathematics

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • Minimum 4 years teaching experience

Path B:

  • B.Ed/B.Sc (Ed)/B.A (Ed) in Mathematics (Second Class Lower or above)

  • NYSC discharge or exemption

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • At least 1 year teaching experience

Path C:

  • B.A/B.Sc plus PGDE (Second Class Lower or above)

  • NYSC discharge or exemption

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • At least 1 year teaching experience

Requirements for Class Teacher II (Phonics) – ULWSSS 7

Path A:

  • NCE in Phonics

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • At least 4 years teaching experience

Path B:

  • B.Ed/B.Sc (Ed)/B.A (Ed) in Phonics (Second Class Lower or above)

  • NYSC discharge

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience

Path C:

  • B.A/B.Sc plus PGDE

  • NYSC discharge or exemption

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • At least 1 year teaching experience

Extra Conditions for All Teaching Applicants

  • TRCN certificate or licence is compulsory

  • Must be computer literate

  • Must not be above 40 years of age

Non-Teaching Positions Available

  • Personal Assistant II

  • Executive Officer (Account)

  • Cleaner

  • Driver

Requirements for Personal Assistant II – ULWSSS 7

Candidates may qualify through:

Path A:

  • OND in Secretarial Studies/Administration/Office Technology (Lower Credit or above)

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience

Path B:

  • B.A/B.Tech/B.Sc/HND in relevant field (Second Class Lower or Lower Credit)

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • NYSC discharge or exemption

  • At least 1 year experience

Requirements for Executive Officer (Account) – ULWSSS 6

  • OND in Accounting (Lower Credit or above)

  • Five O’Level credits including English and Mathematics

  • Minimum 1 year work experience

Requirements for Cleaner – ULWSSS 2

  • SSCE/NECO/WASC with at least three passes

Requirements for Driver – ULWSSS 3

  • SSCE/NECO/WASC with passes in three subjects

  • Class E driver’s licence

  • Trade Test II in Driving or Motor Vehicle Mechanic Work

  • At least 3 years driving experience

Extra Conditions for All Non-Teaching Staff

  • Must not be more than 45 years of age
