Yaba College of Technology YABATECH
YABATECH Releases Full Procedure for CODFEL Course Registration

Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has issued a detailed guide for students on how to properly complete CODFEL course registration for the new academic session. The process outlines every step required to prevent errors, deleted courses, or fines. EducationNGR also learnt that the college wants students to follow only the approved steps to avoid problems during verification.

CODFEL registration is handled on a dedicated portal separate from the general student platform. Students must begin with statutory payments, select courses, pay CODFEL fees, submit on the CODFEL portal, and finally print the form only from the general portal.

CODFEL Registration Steps at YABATECH

Step 1: Access the CODFEL Registration Page
Students should visit portal.yabatech.edu.ng and select the CODFEL registration option. They may also reach the same page through the “Student” menu on the main college website. This step only opens the portal and does not complete registration.

Step 2: Make the Statutory Payment
Before any registration can begin, students must pay the statutory fees. The “Make Statutory Payment” link is available on the CODFEL landing page. Without this payment, the portal will not allow access to proceed.

Step 3: Log In and Select Courses
After payment, students should click “Commence Registration,” log in with their credentials, and choose only the approved courses for the session. The correct courses and credit units must come from the department’s official course structure.

Step 4: Confirm Course List and Pay CODFEL Fees
The portal will display all selected courses and generate the CODFEL fee based on credit units. Students may edit their course list if needed before making payment. YABATECH advises students to double-check selections because mistakes can lead to wrong fees or extra procedures.

Step 5: Submit Registration on the CODFEL Portal
Once payment is done, students must return to the CODFEL Online Access Center and click “Submit Registration.” If this step is skipped, the process remains incomplete, even after payment.

Step 6: Print Course Form on the General Student Portal
After submission, students should log in to the general student portal and use only the “Print Course Registration” option. YABATECH warns students not to click “Register My Courses” or “Unlock Course” on the general portal for CODFEL courses, as this may delete registered courses or attract penalties.

Adding Extra Courses After Initial Registration

Students who need to add extra courses must visit the CODFEL office physically. The office will issue an invoice for the additional units. After payment:

  • Students must return with proof of payment and

  • A written list of courses to be added

Only the CODFEL office is allowed to process extra units. Students should not attempt to add courses online themselves.

Illegal Course Updates and Penalties

The college warns that using unofficial methods to unlock or modify course forms is considered illegal registration. Such actions may delete CODFEL-approved courses and may attract fines. Students are urged to stick strictly to official steps and authorised offices.

Access to the Official PDF Guide

Students who want the original version can refer to the official PDF document shared by YABATECH, which contains the same step-by-step explanation for CODFEL course registration.
