University of Port Harcourt UNIPORT
See UNIPORT Departmental Cut Off Mark for 2025/2026 Session

University of Port Harcourt has fixed the Post UTME cut-off mark for 2025/2026 admission at 120. All candidates should take note of this decision by the Committee of Provost and Deans. Kindly read on for details.

So the wait is over, and the University of Port Harcourt has finally spoken. At its emergency meeting on Thursday, 28th August, 2025, the Committee of Provost and Deans sat, looked at the numbers, and came to a decision that matters to every candidate hoping to gain admission this year.

After weighing the results of the 2025/2026 Post UTME, they agreed on a benchmark. The minimum cut-off mark for this admission round is set at 120. That is the line. If you are above it, you are in the running. If not, then maybe next time.

What This Means For UNIPORT Post UTME Cut-Off Mark

It is quite simple, really.

  • Anyone with a score 120 and above in the Post UTME stands a chance for admission.
  • Candidates below this line are not eligible for placement this session.
  • The decision was reached by the official body, so there is no appeal or backdoor.

Sometimes the figures feel like just numbers, but behind them are students’ hopes, long nights of study, and families waiting on good news. UNIPORT has drawn the line, and all applicants must face it as it stands.

Check Score: UNIPORT Post UTME Results 2025/2026 Out

The University of Port Harcourt has released the 2025/2026 Post UTME screening results. All candidates can now log in to the official portal with their details to view scores. Please check early and keep your result safe for admission use.

The news many students have been waiting for is here at last. The University of Port Harcourt has put out the results of the Post UTME screening for the coming academic year. If you wrote that exam and have been biting your nails, the wait is done. Your score is already sitting on the school’s portal, waiting for you to log in.

Steps to check your UNIPORT result

The process is straight, not tricky at all. Just follow these moves:

  • Go to the UNIPORT Post UTME portal
  • Fill in your Username and Password in the right spaces
  • Hit the login button and your result shows on the screen

That is all. Three steps, no long talk.

Why it matters

The Post UTME result is one of the keys that decide your place in the admission race. It is not just a number, it is part of the mix that schools use to draw up their list. For many candidates, this is the moment that sets the tone for what comes next.

  • It is tied with your UTME score
  • It helps place you in the admission queue
  • It is worth printing out and keeping safe

Some may shrug, but it is better to guard it now than to run around later looking for help.

What candidates should do now

After seeing your score, do not just close the tab and walk away.

  • Print a copy of your result, maybe even two copies
  • Keep checking the UNIPORT site for updates, admission lists sometimes drop with little notice
  • Stay alert and follow every fresh instruction that comes from the school

UNIPORT Post-UTME 2025: Everything You Need to Know About Cut-Off Mark, Eligibility, and Registration

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially announced details for its 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening exercise. If you’re an aspiring student looking to join this prestigious institution, here’s a clear and simple guide to help you understand the cut-off mark, eligibility criteria, and how to register. This information is vital for students, parents, and guardians preparing for the admission process.

Cut-Off Mark for UNIPORT Post-UTME 2025

To be eligible for the UNIPORT Post-UTME screening, you must have scored 150 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This is the minimum JAMB score required to qualify for the screening. However, note that some courses may have higher departmental cut-off marks, which will be determined after the Post-UTME screening. So, aim to perform well in both your JAMB and Post-UTME to boost your chances of admission.

Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria

Not everyone who wrote JAMB can apply for UNIPORT’s Post-UTME. Here are the requirements you must meet:

  • First Choice Institution: You must have chosen UNIPORT as your first choice when registering for the 2025 JAMB UTME or Direct Entry.
  • Minimum JAMB Score: You need a score of 150 or higher in the 2025 UTME.
  • O’Level Results: You must have at least five (5) O’Level credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings. These credits must be from WAEC, NECO, or other recognized examination bodies.
  • Correct Subject Combination: Your UTME subject combination must match the requirements for the course you’re applying for. For example, if you’re applying for Medicine, you need to have written subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in your UTME.
  • Change of Institution (if applicable): If you didn’t initially choose UNIPORT as your first choice but now want to apply, you must visit a JAMB CBT centre to change your institution to UNIPORT before registering for the Post-UTME.

How to Register for UNIPORT Post-UTME 2025

The registration process for the UNIPORT Post-UTME is straightforward and done online. Follow these steps to apply successfully:

  8. Check Screening Details: UNIPORT will release the date, time, and venue for the Post-UTME screening after registration closes. Keep checking the UNIPORT website (https://www.uniport.edu.ng) for updates.

Important Dates and Deadlines

  • Registration Start Date: The registration portal opened on Monday, July 7, 2025.
  • Registration Closing Date: The deadline to complete your registration is Friday, August 15, 2025. Don’t wait until the last minute to avoid technical issues or network problems.
  • Screening Date: The exact date for the Post-UTME screening will be announced later. Successful applicants will be notified via the UNIPORT website or the email address provided during registration.

How UNIPORT Calculates Your Aggregate Score

Your admission into UNIPORT depends on your aggregate score, which combines your JAMB and Post-UTME scores. Here’s how it’s calculated:

  • Add your JAMB score to your Post-UTME score.
  • Divide the total by 2 to get your average (aggregate) score.

For example, if you scored 200 in JAMB and 180 in the Post-UTME, your aggregate score would be:
(200 + 180) ÷ 2 = 190.

A higher aggregate score increases your chances of admission, especially for competitive courses like Medicine, Law, or Engineering.

Tips for Success

  • Prepare Well: Study past Post-UTME questions and revise your JAMB subjects to perform well in the screening.
  • Verify Your Details: Ensure your JAMB registration number, O’Level results, and other details are correct to avoid disqualification.
  • Meet the Deadline: Complete your registration before August 15, 2025, to avoid missing out.
  • Stay Updated: Regularly visit https://www.uniport.edu.ng or https://utmedetails.uniport.edu.ng for the latest information on the screening exercise.
