Taraba State University (TASU), Jalingo, has announced the official schedule for acceptance and registration activities for all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.   • Start of acceptance and normal registration: 18 November 2025
  • End of acceptance and normal registration: 25 November 2025
  • Start of late registration: 26 November 2025
  • End of late registration: 4 December 2025

All newly admitted candidates are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and complete their registration within the normal window of 18–25 November 2025, giving enough room to correct minor issues before deadlines.

Who This Notice Covers

This notice applies to:

  • All candidates newly admitted into TASU for the 2025/2026 academic session
  • Students who have received a provisional offer of admission from Taraba State University, Jalingo

What Newly Admitted Students Need To Do

1. Confirm Acceptance of Admission

Students are advised to:

  • Carefully read the admission offer issued to them
  • Confirm acceptance of the offer within the official registration timeframe
  • Follow instructions in their admission letter or any official TASU communication

This confirmation signals readiness to join the university for the session.

2. Pay the School Fee Within the Approved Dates

Payment of the approved school fee forms part of the registration exercise. Students must:

  • Pay only through official university channels
  • Ensure all receipts or payment printouts are safely stored
  • Complete payment between 18 and 25 November 2025 to remain under normal registration

Late payment may automatically shift a student into the late registration window, which may carry additional requirements set by the university.

3. Complete All Registration Steps Early

Students are expected to complete every stage of their registration as outlined in their admission letter or on TASU’s portal. Good practices include:

  • Verifying that personal data matches the admission record
  • Checking programme, department, and session details
  • Keeping copies of all essential documents such as admission letters and payment receipts

Completing these steps early helps students avoid unnecessary delays and long queues.

Late Registration Period

Late registration officially holds from:

  • 26 November 2025 to 4 December 2025

Accept or Reject Your Admission
Log in to the JAMB CAPS portal via  to either accept or reject your admission offer.

Print Your JAMB Admission Letter
After accepting your offer, print your JAMB Admission Letter using the JAMB Admission Letter portal.

Proceed to the University for Clearance
Once your admission is confirmed, visit the TASU Admissions Office for screening and documentation as directed by the university.

How to Check Your TASU Admission Status on JAMB Portal

Candidates can also verify their admission status directly on the JAMB E-Facility portal by following these steps:

  • Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng

  • Log in using your JAMB email address and password

  • Scroll to the Check Admission Status section

  • Click Access my CAPS

  • Select Admission Status to see if you have been offered admission into Taraba State University (TASU)

  • At least five O’level credits including Mathematics and English in WAEC, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
  • Not more than two sittings.
  • Minimum of 150 points from UTME in relevant subjects.

Apply: TASU Post-UTME/DE Admission Form 2024/2025

This is to inform all UTME and Direct Entry candidates who have applied for admission into Taraba State University Jalingo, TASU for 2024/2025 academic session that the admission form is on sale online and the online post UTME screening exercise commences from:

13th September, 2024  to  12th October, 2024.

Method of Application for TASU Post-UTME/DE Admission 2024 

  1.  Log on to https://apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng/register.php
  2. Click on payment for post UTME
  3.  Select mode of entry: UTME or Direct Entry (DE)
  4.  Fill in all the required information as contained in the online form and upload all relevant credentials and click submit
  5. You will be redirected to use your card (master, Visa or Verve Card) to make payment
  6. Print payment receipt and acknowledgement slip

Eligibility for TASU Post-UTME/DE Admission 2024

  •  Only UTME and Direct Entry candidates who selected Taraba State University Jalingo as their first choice of Institution are eligible for the online screening exercise
  • UTME candidates must have scored not less than 140 in the 2024 UTME and obtained five (5) o’level relevant credits including Mathematics and English at not more than two sittings
  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates must have obtained a minimum of Lower Credit at Diploma. NCE and IJMB with relevant five (5) O’level credits at not more than two sittings.

Note: Only candidates who participate in the screening exercise will be considered for admission. In addition, any false declaration can lead to a candidate’s disqualification at any stage of the admission process.
