Tansian University Post-UTME & DE Form 2025/2026 Is Out

Tansian University is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry. This article breaks down who can apply, how to register, and where to get the form. Read on if you’re planning to study there.

So the gates are open again at Tansian University, and if you’re looking for admission into the 2025/2026 session, it might just be time to make a move. The school has rolled out its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening, and yes, the application form is out already. No long talk.

You don’t even need to have picked Tansian in JAMB to apply. They’re keeping things flexible, which is rare these days. Maybe you didn’t plan to apply here at first, but well, plans can change.

If you wrote this year’s UTME, then that’s step one done.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • The minimum UTME score (as approved by JAMB) for your chosen course
  • The required academic qualifications (SSCE, NECO, GCE or equivalent)
  • You don’t have to choose Tansian as your school of choice during JAMB to be eligible. That’s a green light for a lot of people who missed out earlier

For Direct Entry

They’re also accepting NCE holders for the two- or three-year degree options in the Faculty of Education. If you’ve got that qualification and you’re tired of being in limbo, this could be your next step.

How to Apply (Without Getting Confused)

The process is simple, nothing too techy.

Step 1: Choose Your Course

Check out the full list of courses offered by the university. Don’t just pick at random. Go with something that fits your strengths or what you see yourself doing long-term.

You’ll find the course list and more details on the Tansian University admissions page.

Step 2: Make Payment and Apply Online

You’ll need to pay ₦10,000 for the application form. Pay into:

Bank: Polaris Bank Plc
Account Number: 4091963018
Account Name: Tansian University Umunya

After payment, fill the form online and submit. You’ll get a confirmation message once your application goes through. Don’t skip or rush this part. Double-check everything.

Step 3: Go to the School for Registration

Once your online form is accepted, the next move is physical.

Take your credentials and proof of payment to the Registrar’s Office at Tansian University, Umunya or Oba campus in Anambra State. They need to verify everything before your admission moves forward.

Prefer Buying the Form in Person?

No wahala. You can also walk into any of these locations to get the form:

  • Tansian University Main Campus (Umunya or Oba, Anambra State)
  • Konigin Des Friedens College, Enugu: No. 1 Queen of Peace Drive, Off Awkunanaw Street, Achara Layout
  • Our Lady Waldenstein Educational Centre, Oka-Uga, Aguata LGA, Anambra

Just go along with your ₦10,000 and request the application form.

When you collect it, fill and return to the Registrar’s Office with proof of payment. Originals only o. No photocopies for this one.

Quick Note on Screening

Screening is already on. Yes, like right now. So the earlier you wrap up your application, the better your chances of being processed early. Avoid last-minute runs.

If you’ve been thinking of going back for that PGD, Master’s or PhD, then you might want to keep reading. Tansian University just opened up their postgraduate admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This isn’t one of those rushed announcements that vanish in two days. The form is out, the process is simple, and they’ve laid out everything pretty clearly. Well, mostly.

Programmes on Offer

Let’s start with what’s actually available. Tansian isn’t offering a thousand random courses. They’ve picked areas where they already have some structure. Here’s what’s up:

  1. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Accountancy
  2. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Business Administration
  3. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Journalism and Media Studies

  9. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Microbiology

That’s it. No tricks. Just a focused list of serious academic paths.

Who Can Apply?

Tansian has opened its doors to anyone who meets the basic requirements. You don’t have to be a former student. What matters is your result and how you fit in.

Let’s break this down.

General Requirements

Every applicant needs at least five credit passes in subjects like English and Maths. This must come from WASSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB, and not in more than two sittings.

You also need to meet the entry requirement for the course you’re applying for, both at undergrad and postgrad levels.

For PGD (Postgraduate Diploma)

You need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a Third Class or higher (GPA of at least 2.0 on a 5-point scale)
  • Or an HND with at least 3.5 GPA
  • In some special cases, you might be required to take extra tests by the faculty
  • If you have professional qualifications, make sure you also passed through the normal O’level path

For Master’s Degree

You qualify if you:

  • Graduated with at least a Second Class Lower, and have a GPA of 2.5 or more
  • Or you hold a PGD in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale

For PhD Programme

Here’s where it gets serious:

  • You must already hold a Master’s degree in the course or something related
  • Your GPA should be at least 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale

That’s the bare minimum. Anything below that and you’re probably wasting the ₦20,000.

How to Apply (Step by Step)

You don’t need to be a tech genius to figure this out. Here’s the flow:

  1. Pay ₦20,000 for the form.
    • Bank: FCMB
    • Account Name: Tansian University
    • Account Number: 1458541012
  2. Go to the Tansian postgraduate application page and download the form.
  3. Fill it carefully. Don’t rush. Mistakes might cost you later.
  4. Submit the following to the School of Postgraduate Studies:
    • The completed application form
    • Your bank payment slip
    • Academic certificates
    • Any other relevant documents

The earlier you do this, the better. Nobody wants to be left behind when the screening starts.

Screening? Yes.

Every applicant will face some form of screening. It might be written, it might be oral, or both. The date isn’t out yet, but the school says they’ll send info to all applicants directly.

So if your email inbox is always full of random junk, better start checking properly.
