Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi, has officially released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The schedule outlines all major academic activities for both semesters, including resumption, registration, lecture periods, examinations, official breaks, and public holidays. EducationNGR also learnt that the calendar follows the exact dates issued by the university management.
The academic year runs from December 2025 to October 2026, covering two semesters. The first semester begins on 1 December 2025, while the second semester starts on 13 April 2026. The timetable is arranged to help students, parents and staff plan ahead for travel, study time, fees, and examination preparation.
SAZU, formerly known as Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG), continues to operate a structured academic timetable that allows for uninterrupted learning while accommodating national and religious holidays. The released calendar also includes matriculation, GST examinations, semester examinations, and both short and long breaks.
First Semester (2025/2026)
The first semester features registration, lectures, GST examinations, main examinations and a four-week break. Students will resume and register from Mon 1 Dec 2025 to Sun 14 Dec 2025. Late registration takes place from Mon 15 Dec 2025 to Fri 19 Dec 2025. Lectures run for 12 weeks, from 1 Dec 2025 to 20 Feb 2026.
