General Requirements

To apply, you must have:

• Five O’level credits in relevant subjects, including English, from WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB, in no more than two sittings
• A first degree or relevant postgraduate diploma in the course you want to study

Who Can Apply?

For Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)

• Bachelor’s degree holders with at least third class and a 2.0 GPA on a 5-point scale
• HND holders with a 3.50 GPA or equivalent
• Candidates with professional qualifications (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) may also be considered

For Master’s Programmes (MA, MSc, MBA, MPA)

• Bachelor’s degree holders with at least second class lower and a 2.50 GPA
• PGD holders with a credit pass and a 3.5 GPA on a 5-point scale

For PhD

• Master’s degree holders with at least 3.5 GPA on a 5-point scale or 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale

For Master’s/PhD

• First class graduates or Master’s degree holders with 3.5 GPA may be considered

Course Duration

• PGD – Two semesters (regular)
• Master’s – Three semesters full-time, five semesters part-time

Transcript Submission

Download the transcript request form from the site and send it to your former school. Your transcript must be sent to:

What Happens After?

• All applicants will sit for a computer-based screening
• The date will be announced later
• PhD candidates must publish at least one article from their thesis
• All Master’s and PhD submissions will undergo plagiarism checks

JUPEB stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board. It’s a one-year academic programme that leads to Direct Entry admission into 200 Level of degree courses at Renaissance University.

Once you finish the programme and pass the exam, you’ll get a JUPEB certificate. That’s your ticket to a full undergraduate course without going through UTME again.

Who Can Apply?

• Open to anyone, whether you wrote JAMB or not
• Your O’level result must have at least five credits in subjects relevant to your course
• You can combine results from no more than two sittings
• Accepted exams: WAEC, NECO, or equivalent

How To Apply

1. Visit the Renaissance University website
2. Go to the JUPEB application page
3. Fill in the form and make sure all your details are correct
4. Submit and follow any extra steps shared after submission

Final Note

If you missed out on UTME or your score didn’t cut it, this JUPEB route gives you another chance. You start fresh, prep for a year, and land in 200 Level without the usual stress.
