Steps to Check

  • Head over to the JAMB e-Facility portal.
  • Log in with your JAMB username and password.
  • Scroll down until you spot ‘Check Admission Status’.
  • Hit ‘Access my CAPS’.
  • Then click on ‘Admission Status’ to see if you’ve got that sweet “Offered Admission” message.

Some folks using mobile phones might get stuck with just a “Welcome” screen. Don’t panic. Just switch your browser to desktop mode (Chrome works best) and reload the page. That usually does the trick. Na small thing.

What the Different Admission Messages Mean

When you check your status, the message you see tells a story. Here’s how to read it:

1. Admission Offered

Big congratulations! You’ve been officially admitted. You can now decide to accept or reject the offer on your CAPS portal.

2. Admission in Progress (AIP)

This one means your school has seen your application and liked what they saw. They’ve pushed it up for final approval. It’s still in the works, so hang tight.

3. Recommended

You’ve been recommended for admission, but JAMB still needs to give the green light. Kind of like waiting for the final “yes” from the big boss.

4. Not Admitted

Oof. This simply means you haven’t been selected yet. Maybe the school hasn’t rolled out all its lists or your turn is still in review. Don’t lose hope; these things come in batches.

5. Pending

Your file is still under review. Nothing’s final yet, so you might still get that call-up.

What to Do After You Get Admitted

If you’ve got an admission offer, don’t waste time.
Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number you used to register for JAMB. After accepting, go on and print your JAMB admission letter for record-keeping.

A little reminder: always double-check your details before sending that text. You don’t want to accept or reject by mistake. That’d be wahala you don’t need.

A Quick Tip for Mobile Users

Like I mentioned earlier, if you can’t see your admission status on your phone, don’t stress. Open your Chrome browser, tap the three dots, and choose ‘Request Desktop Site’. The full page will appear, just like on a laptop. Problem solved.

MAUTECH Announces Post-UTME Aptitude Test Schedule 2025/2026

Modibbo Adama University has fixed the Post-UTME Aptitude Test for students who applied to study Medicine and Law in the 2025/2026 session. The test will be held in September at the school CBT Centre. Candidates should read carefully and take note of dates, times, and documents needed.

Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, has announced that all candidates who applied for MBBS and Law should get set for their Post-UTME Aptitude Test. This also covers those who joined through Direct Entry screening. The test is not far off, so mark your calendars.

 

Schedule of the Aptitude Test

  • MBBS candidates: Friday 12 September and Saturday 13 September 2025
  • Law candidates: Monday 15 September 2025
  • Time: 9:00am each day
  • Venue: University Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre

Every candidate must carry:

MAUTECH Sandwich Degree Admission Form 2024/2025

he Senate of the Federal University of Technology, Yola (MAUTECH) at its 48th Special meeting approved the commencement of the Sandwich Programme in the School of Technology & Science Education. This was consequent upon the identified need for the programme in the university’s catchments area, and the pressure mounted on it by the Federal College of Education Yola (FCE Yola),which needed to transfer its displaced students of the University of Ilorin, Satellite Campus of Yola, to a nearby University, following the Federal Government’s pronouncement on the closure of Satellite Campuses.

In actual fact, the programme was billed to commence with the students of the University of Ilorin Satellite Campus of the Federal College of Education Yola.

The Sandwich Unit programme is housed in the School of Technology & Science Education (STSE) and courses offered would lead to the award of the following degrees:-

The Sandwich Unit was set up in line with the vision and mission of the National Policy on Education to train highly skilled, professionally competent intellectually sound science and mathematics teachers for Nigerian Secondary Schools and Colleges. The process of producing these quality teachers is through: The development of learners’ talents in both contents of their teaching subjects and educational pedagogy.

Enhancing the practicum of science and mathematics teaching by organizing a closely supervised teaching practice.

Coping with the dynamics of the Unit through research work on contemporary issues in education and encouraging innovative ways of effective teaching and learning of science subjects.

Collaborating with other relevant programmes in the university to produce balanced students who possess requisite knowledge, skills and desirable work attitudes

 

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission one most possesses the following: NCE with distinction, credit or merit in the major subjects, or Diploma in Education with Distinction or Credit, plus a minimum of 5 credits in the SSCE/WASC/NECO/GCE O’ Level in relevant subjects or Grade II Teachers’ Certificate with a minimum of merit grade in at least 5 relevant subjects.

GCE A’ Level or its equivalent in two relevant subjects, plus 5 credits in the relevant O’ Level subjects. Duration of the Course

 

The duration of the course is Five (5) Contacts Years Administrative Structure

The Sandwich Unit is managed by the Coordinator who coordinates its affairs, chairs its departmental board, and liaises with the Chairman, Sandwich Management Board and the University administration on behalf of the Unit.

Members of staff (both academic and non academic) are assigned certain functions and responsibilities to execute for the smooth running of the Unit; and all members of staff are answerable to the coordinator. Graduation Requirements For the award of B.Tech (Ed)/B Ed. (Hons.) a candidate must have passed all prescribed and registered courses.

With a minimum/maximum of 20 / 24 units to be registered in any contact. A candidate is expected to have registered and passed at least/most 110 units / 155 units, with a CGPA of not less than 1.00.

A written project and 15 major component of a student’s graduation requirements as well.

Programme Sub-discipline/Discipline Structure to include period of formal studies in the Universities Industrial training, planned visit and projects.
