1. Medicine and Allied Sciences

Oversubscribed programmes:
MBBS, Nursing, Microbiology, Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences

Available programmes:

  • Agricultural Economics and Extension
  • Crop Production and Horticulture
  • Fisheries
  • Soil Science
  • Food Science and Technology
  • Forestry and Wildlife
  • Animal Science and Range Management (limited)
  • Botany
  • Plant Science
  • Geology and related disciplines

2. Computer Science

Available alternatives:

  • Operations Research
  • Statistics
  • Mathematics
  • Mathematics with Economics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry

Direct Entry (DE) candidates who were not admitted into Computer Science are encouraged to switch to any of the listed alternatives.

3. Engineering Programmes

Oversubscribed:
Electrical Electronic Engineering, Civil Engineering

Available alternatives:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Agricultural and Environmental Engineering
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Electrical Electronic Technology Education
  • Construction Technology Education

4. Architecture

Available programmes:

  • Survey and Geoinformatics
  • Industrial Design

  • Urban and Regional Planning (for those with Mathematics and Geography in JAMB)

DE candidates initially applying for Architecture can only be considered for Geography.

5. Law

Available alternatives:

  • Political Science
  • Sociology
  • Library and Information Science

Candidates without Government in their JAMB or O’Level results can only switch to Library and Information Science.

6. Management and Social Sciences

For applicants in Accounting, Economics, Management Technology, Banking and Finance, Information Technology, and Business Education without Mathematics or Economics in JAMB or O’Levels, available alternatives include:

  • Political Science
  • Sociology (for those with Government in JAMB and O’Levels)
  • Library and Information Science

Candidates with science-based JAMB subjects in Information Technology but without Economics and Mathematics should also switch to courses that align with their qualifications.

Important Deadline

All transfers or programme changes must be completed on or before 14 November 2025. The MAU Admission Office urges all candidates to act quickly to avoid missing the final consideration window for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, has issued an update for candidates involved in the 2025/2026 undergraduate admission process.
