Admission Requirements: Who Can Apply?

B.Sc. Accounting

  • 100 Level: Five credits in English, Maths, Economics, and two relevant subjects.
  • Direct Entry: ND or HND (Lower Credit) in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or Business Admin for 200 or 300 Level, plus “O” level requirements.

B.Sc. Marketing

  • 100 Level: Five credits in English, Maths, Economics, and two others from Marketing, Business Administration, Geography, Commerce, Government, or Financial Accounting.
  • Direct Entry: ND or HND (Lower Credit) in a relevant course, same as above.

B.Sc. Agricultural Economics / Agricultural Extension & Rural Development

  • 100 Level: Five credits in English, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Agric Science or Biology.
  • Direct Entry: ND or HND (Lower Credit) in related fields, with “O” level passes as above.

B.Sc. Cybersecurity

  • 100 Level: Five credits including English, Maths, Physics, and two others from Chemistry, Biology, Agric Science, Economics, or Geography.

B.Sc. Science Laboratory Technology

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH for short, has rolled out the details for its verification and registration exercise for freshers recently offered provisional admission through JAMB. This is the official green light that takes candidates from admission letters to actual student life on campus.

The verification will:

  • Start: Monday, 27th September 2025
  • End: Friday, 17th October 2025

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has published the official Post UTME cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic exercise. The announcement is directed at all applicants who put in for the University during their UTME.

Candidates are urged to watch out for their admission status, which will be posted on the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s Central Admission Processing System, often called JAMB CAPS.

The University has also sounded a note of warning. Admission is free of charge. Anyone who hands money to agents, middlemen, or unauthorised groups is putting themselves at risk of being duped. The school says it will not be held responsible for such cases.

Notice is hereby given to all candidates who applied to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso as their first-choice institution in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) that the admission portal will be opened for online registration from Friday, 25th July 2025 to Wednesday, 20th August, 2025.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Candidates must have scored a minimum of 170 marks in the 2025/2026 UTME to be eligible for screening.

2. Candidates must upload O’ Level results to JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before 20th August, 2025.

3. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September, 2025 to be eligible for admission.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. The UTME candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant O’ Level subjects at not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

2. Direct Entry (DE) candidates must hold a University Degree with minimum of Second Class Lower, Upper Credit in ND, RNS, NCE minimum of Merit and Lower Credit in HND, or JUPEB, with five (5) credit passes in relevant O’ Level subjects.

3. Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science applicants must have five (5) relevant credit passes at one sitting only.

2. Make a non-refundable registration fee of N2,000.00 and a portal access fee of N3,000.00 using an Inter Switch-enabled debit card.

3. Carefully complete and submit the online application form.

4. Upload a clear digital passport photograph with white background in JPEG format not exceeding 20KB.

5. Candidates are expected to review available programmes, O’ Level requirements, and UTME subject combinations on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) portal before applying.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
1. Candidates awaiting results (WAEC, NECO and NABTEB) may apply but must upload their results to JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) by 20th August 2025.

2. Any inconsistency in names, state of origin, or age on documents may result in disqualification.

3. Admission is based on 80% UTME score and 20% O’level grades.

Failure to appear for the interview will lead to automatic forfeiture of the admission.
