FUTES-IYIN Announces Resumption Date for the 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), has officially announced the resumption date for the 2025/2026 academic session. EducationNGR also learnt that full academic activities at the institution will begin on Monday, 05 January 2026.

According to the management, the resumption exercise will include screening, registration, and orientation for newly admitted and returning students as the university prepares for the new academic year.

In addition, FUTES-IYIN has confirmed that the university’s student portal—through which students will pay tuition fees and complete all necessary registrations—will become active starting 01 December 2025.

The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN), has officially published the approved schedule of school fees for all undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 academic session. EducationNGR also learnt that the institution has provided flexible payment options to support students and parents ahead of the new academic year.

Breakdown of FUTES-IYIN School Fees

Below is the full schedule of approved charges for the session:

  • Development Levy (Payable Once): ₦100,000.00
  • Administrative Charges: ₦5,000.00
  • Examination Fee: ₦5,000.00
  • Identity Card: ₦5,000.00
  • Library: ₦7,500.00
  • Matriculation: ₦8,000.00
  • T-Ship: ₦2,000.00
  • Orientation and Student Handbook: ₦7,500.00
  • Sports: ₦5,000.00
  • ICT: ₦5,000.00
  • Insurance: ₦2,000.00
  • Laboratory/Workshop: ₦25,000.00
  • Caution Fee: ₦5,000.00
  • Result Verification: ₦5,000.00
  • Departmental Charges: ₦2,500.00
  • Faculty Levy: ₦1,500.00
  • Entrepreneurial: ₦5,000.00
  • General Studies: ₦10,000.00
  • SIWES: ₦7,500.00

Total School Fees: ₦233,500.00

Payment Guidelines

Payments are to be made exclusively via the Remita platform.

The university has approved two payment plans for students:

1. Full Payment Option

  • Pay ₦233,500.00 at once.

2. Part Payment (Semester-Based)

  • First Tranche: ₦166,750.00 (includes the one-time development levy)
  • Second Tranche: ₦66,750.00

Parents, guardians, and students should take note that the development levy of ₦100,000.00 is paid once throughout the entire duration of a student’s programme at FUTES-IYIN.

Student Portal Activation

The management further announced that the university’s student portal will become fully active from 01 December 2025, enabling students to process registrations and payments seamlessly.

Apply Now: FUTES-IYIN Post UTME Admsiion Form 2025/2026

The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTES-IYIN) has opened applications for the Post UTME screening for the 2025/2026 academic session. Qualified candidates who wish to study any of the university’s undergraduate programmes can now apply online. All admissions will be processed through the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

Applicants must meet all conditions set by both JAMB and the university before their admission can be considered.

 

 

Eligibility for FUTES-IYIN Post UTME

To qualify for admission, candidates must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age by 30 September 2025.
  • Have sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Attain a minimum JAMB score of 160, though some courses may require higher scores.
  • Hold at least five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in WASSCE, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained at a single sitting, or six credits at two sittings.
  • Upload their O’Level results to the university’s admission portal.

Candidates with scores below the minimum JAMB requirement are not eligible to apply for admission to FUTES-IYIN.

How to Apply for FUTES-IYIN Post UTME

  1. Change of Institution
    Interested candidates who did not initially select FUTES-IYIN as their first choice must apply for a Change of Institution on the JAMB portal.
  2. Access the Admission Portal
    Visit the FUTES Admission Portal and read all registration guidelines carefully before beginning the process.
  3. Apply as “OTHER” Choice
    Candidates who cannot find their details under the “FIRST Choice” option may apply using the “OTHER” Choice category. They must still complete the change of institution to FUTES-IYIN on JAMB CAPS before the registration deadline.
  4. Payment
    Applicants are to pay a Post UTME Screening Fee of ₦2,000 and a Portal Access Fee of ₦3,000 through the REMITA platform on the university portal.
  5. Final Screening
    The university will verify all applications and notify candidates of their aggregate scores after the screening process.
