FUHSA Freshers Registration & Resumption 2025/2026

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare, widely called FUHSA, has made public its registration and resumption schedule for newly admitted 100 level students. This update sets the tone for the new academic year, laying out the days when freshers are expected on campus.

FUHSA Registration & Resumption Dates

The school has fixed the following:

  • Registration starts: Monday, 29th September 2025
  • Registration ends: Monday, 13th October 2025
  • Lectures begin: Monday, 29th September 2025

These dates are not just formality. They mark the beginning of university life for hundreds of new students who have worked hard to secure admission.

What Students Must Do

All admitted students are required to:

  • Appear in person for credential verification before going ahead with other registration steps.
  • Ensure registration is completed within the given period, as late entries may not be entertained.
  • Prepare to start lectures as scheduled, without delay.

FUHSA Inter-University/Course Transfer 2025 Announced

Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) has opened applications for both intra-university course changes and inter-university transfers for 2025. All interested students must apply online, meet academic rules, and pay the set fees. Full details are below, kindly read through.

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) has made public its fresh guide on intra-university and inter-university transfers. This came after the Senate met on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025, marking the 32nd sitting. For students wanting a change of course within FUHSA or those hoping to transfer from another school, the door is now open.

How to Apply for FUHSA Transfer

The first step is digital, through the FUHSA applicant portal. Once there, fill out the online form meant for course changes or inter-university transfers.

A few things you must do:

  • Attach all needed supporting documents before you submit.
  • Hold at least five credit passes in O’ Level, with both English and Mathematics included.
  • Make sure the course you want has space, since no extra slot will be created.

Academic Records and Standards

Every applicant must present a transcript for review. For those eyeing Medicine (MBBS) or Dentistry (BDS), the bar is high, with a minimum CGPA of 4.01 required. For Nursing and other fields, a CGPA of not less than 3.50 is needed.

Candidates must also:

  • Obtain clearance from their current Department, Faculty, and University.
  • Secure approval from the new Department and Faculty before the central authority signs off.

It sounds like a lot, but rules are rules.

Prescribed Fees for FUHSA Transfer

Money matters, and FUHSA has listed the charges clearly. All fees are non-refundable.

  • Change of course form: ₦50,000
  • Acceptance fee within FUHSA: ₦250,000
  • Transfer from public universities in Nigeria: ₦500,000
  • Transfer from private universities in Nigeria: ₦2,500,000
  • Transfer from foreign universities: ₦3,000,000

Every applicant should also ensure they have taken any pre-requisite course tied to their new department.

Other Key Requirements

The university has made it plain:

  • Transfers must be regularised with JAMB, and the indemnity form completed.
  • A student can only transfer once, so the decision calls for careful thought.
Check FUHSA Admission List on JAMB CAPS 2024/2025

Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) Admission list for the 2024/2025 academic session has been released and now accessible on JAMB CAPS.

This is to inform all candidates who participated in the 2024/2025 Admission Screening Exercise that they can proceed to check if their names are on the Provisional Admission list of successful candidates.

The list of admitted candidates have been uploaded online via JAMB CAPS. Candidates are to follow the procedure below to check

How To Check the Admission Status on JAMB CAPS 2024/2025

  1.  Visit :https://www.jamb.gov.ng/Efacility and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard
  2.  Click on ‘Check Admission Status,
  3.  Click on ‘Access my CAPS’
  4. Click on ‘Admission Status’ to see if you have been offered admission.

Candidates who have been offered admission are to proceed to click “ACCEPT” or “REJECT” to indicate acceptance or rejection of the admission offer.

For those whose status is showing “Admission Still in Progress” or “Not Admitted”, you are advised to keep checking as the status may change anytime soon.

FUHSA Remedial Admission Screening 2024/2025

This is to inform all staff, students and members of the general public that the management of The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare, FUHSA  has released the 2024/2025 Remedial Admissions screening schedule.

  1. Screening and Registration will commence as follows:

  2. Venue: Directorate office, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare.

  3. Date: From Monday, 9th September, 2024 to Monday, 30th September, 2024

  4. Lectures will commence on the 16th September, 2024

Successful candidates can check their admission status and print their admission letters accordingly.

Candidates are to come with originals and photocopies of their credentials for the screening.
