The Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology (FCMLST), Jos has formally announced the commencement of ND II Direct Admission (Recertification) for the 2025/2026 academic year. The news, targeted at candidates, parents, and guardians, centres on admission into the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) programme.

Entry requirements for FCMLST, Jos ND II Direct Admission

The College laid down who can apply:

  • Holders of an Ordinary Diploma (OD) in Medical Laboratory Technology or related courses from a recognised tertiary body.
  • Those with professional certificates or a valid MLT licence who now wish to secure an academic certificate.
  • Every applicant must present:
    • An OD certificate
    • A valid MLT licence
    • Five credit passes in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, and Physics at GCE, WAEC, or NECO. Results must not exceed two sittings.

The recertification programme runs for one full year.

How to apply for FCMLST ND II Recertification

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦10,000 for the admission form. Payment is processed through the Remita platform. Steps are:

  • Visit Remita Home Page.
  • Choose PAY TSA & STATE, then PAY FGN.
  • Under “Who to Pay,” select FCMLST Jos 052102704200 and clearly state what the payment covers.
  • Fill in payer’s details such as name, phone, email, and the amount.
  • Enter “NII” under GIFMIS code and give a brief description.
  • Pick a preferred payment method, whether debit card or bank branch.
  • After completing payment, generate and keep the receipt with the Remita code.

Screening and closing date

  • Closing date for applications: Tuesday, 30th September 2025.
  • Screening and registration: 1st to 3rd October 2025, starting 10.00 am each day, at the College Assembly Complex.
  • Applicants must bring along original documents, passport photographs, and the payment receipt.
