Where to Check the BSUAST Pre-Degree/Remedial Admission List

Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST) has uploaded the full pre-degree and remedial admission list for the Institute of Foundation and Entrepreneurship Studies (IFES), Ihugh, on the official admissions portal. EducationNGR also learnt that all applicants must first pay the status-check fee before viewing their admission offer.

Admission Status-Check Fee (N2,000)

All candidates are required to:

  • Pay a non-refundable N2,000 status-check fee

  • Make payment strictly through Paystack on the BSUAST portal

  • Avoid cash payments or manual processing

How to Check BSUAST Pre-Degree/Remedial Admission Status

Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the BSUAST admissions portal: admissions.bsuast.edu.ng

  2. Select “Pre-Degree/Remedial Admission Status Check”

  3. Enter your Application Number and Full Name

  4. Click “Proceed to Payment”

  5. Complete the N2,000 Paystack payment

  6. Return to the portal after a successful payment

  7. Click to view your admission status

  8. Print the Admission Notification Slip for details on first procedures

Next Steps for Admitted Candidates

Acceptance Fee Payment (N20,000)

Admitted students should:

  • Log in to the portal and read the IFES Registration & Orientation Guide

  • Click “Proceed to Payment” for the acceptance fee

  • Complete the N20,000 payment via Paystack

  • Print the Acceptance Letter after successful payment

Documents to Prepare

Students should get these ready for physical registration:

  • Birth certificate or declaration of age

  • Recent passport photographs

  • O-level result(s) that satisfy programme requirements

  • Application acknowledgement slip

Collecting the Official Letter of Admission

After acceptance, students must:

  • Visit the BSUAST takeoff campus on the Ihugh–Korinya road

  • Proceed to the Office of the Registrar

  • Collect the Official Letter of Admission (OLA)

The OLA contains the Admission Number required for future steps.

Creating the BSUAST Student Profile

Once the Admission Number is received, students should:

  • Use the number to create a personal student profile

  • Store login details safely

  • Access fee schedules, registration updates and other academic links through the portal

Registration Schedule, User Charges, Resumption and Orientation

The University Bursary will later release:

  • The full registration schedule

  • User charges for the programme

  • Resumption date

  • Orientation timetable

BSUAST Ihugh Invites Jambites for Post-UTME Admission 2025/2026

The University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST), Ihugh, Benue State, has announced that it is now officially profiled on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for the 2025/2026 admissions cycle. EducationNGR also learnt that the institution, described as a modern and forward-looking polymathic university, is committed to producing highly skilled graduates for Nigeria’s growing knowledge-driven economy.

Invitation for Applications

Suitably qualified candidates who participated in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and attained the required cut-off marks are invited to apply for admission into the university’s degree programmes.

Interested applicants are advised to visit any JAMB Office or accredited CBT centre to complete a Change of Institution to UAST, Ihugh as their First Choice institution.

  • Nursing Science: 160 and above
  • Medical Laboratory Science (MLS): 160 and above
  • Human Nutrition and Dietetics: 160 and above
  • Complementary and Alternative Medicine: 160 and above
  • All Other Programmes: 150 and above (Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Management, Education, etc.)

Application and Post-UTME Procedure

Candidates applying to UAST should follow the steps below:

  1. Change institution to UAST, Ihugh on the JAMB CAPS Portal through any accredited CBT Centre or JAMB Office.
  2. Ensure your O-Level results are correctly uploaded to JAMB CAPS. Candidates without uploaded SSCE results will not be considered.
  3. Visit the UAST Admissions Portal via portal.bsuast.edu.ng to register for the Post-UTME Screening.
  4. Complete the online form and upload the required documents:
  5. Pay the non-refundable ₦2,000 Post-UTME Screening Fee.
  6. Print and keep the Screening Acknowledgement Slip for the verification process.

Important Notes

  • All admissions will be processed strictly through JAMB CAPS.
  • Candidates must ensure their SSCE results are uploaded; otherwise, they will not receive admission consideration.
  • Any candidate found to have submitted false or misleading information will be immediately deregistered and handed over to law enforcement agencies.

Benue State University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (BSUAST) is calling for applications into its one-year Pre-Science and Remedial Science programme for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The school, established by the state government in 2024 and licensed by the National Universities Commission in 2025, was set up with a broad mission: teaching across agriculture, sciences, health, computing, and engineering. Now, it has opened this pathway programme to prepare candidates for full degree study.
