Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED)
Apply: AFUED PDE Admission Form 2025/2026 Released

Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, has opened applications for its Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) for the 2025–2026 session. The programme offers professional teaching qualifications for graduates and practising teachers. Apply online before 31st January 2026 via the university portal.

There’s something about teaching—it’s not just a job, it’s a calling. If you’ve ever stood before a group and felt that spark, that quiet satisfaction of passing on knowledge, then maybe this is your cue. Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, in collaboration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), has announced the sale of its Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) form for the 2025–2026 academic session.

The PDE isn’t just another course; it’s the bridge for anyone who wants to walk into the classroom as a certified professional.

What the PDE Is All About

This programme is specially designed for three types of people:

  • Academically qualified individuals who want to become professional teachers.
  • Practising teachers without a teaching certificate.
  • Certified teachers who wish to sharpen their teaching skills and grow professionally.

It’s a one-session programme, running for two semesters, but what you gain can last a lifetime. By the end of it, you won’t just hold a certificate—you’ll be formally recognised by the TRCN and fully licensed to teach anywhere in Nigeria.

Think of it as the final key to unlocking your teaching potential.

How to Apply for AFUED PDE Admission

Applying is quite straightforward, though you’ll want to follow the steps carefully to avoid small mistakes that could cost time. Here’s the breakdown:

  1. Visit the AFUED registration portal.
  2. Make a payment of ₦15,000 through e-Tranzact or Remita pay outlets at any commercial bank.
  3. Return to the portal to complete your online application form.
  4. Double-check all details before submitting.

One quick warning—don’t pay into any private account. Everything must go through the official university payment channels.

The application window closes on 31st January 2026, so if this opportunity fits your plan, now’s the time to make your move.

Entry Requirements

To qualify for the PDE, you should hold one of the following:

  • Higher National Diploma (HND)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A., B.Sc., etc.)
  • Master’s Degree (M.A., M.Sc.)
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

Basically, if you’ve already gone through higher education but never took the professional route into teaching, this programme is built for you.

Why You Should Consider the AFUED PDE

Let’s be honest, education is changing fast. Having just a degree isn’t always enough anymore. The PDE gives you that professional edge, the kind that can make you, well, unsackable. It formalises what many teachers already do naturally—teaching with purpose and structure.

Besides, AFUED isn’t new to this game. The school has built a name over the years for producing competent educators who know both theory and practice. That mix is rare and valuable.

And yes, upon completion, successful students are registered and inducted by the TRCN, officially marking your place in the teaching profession.

A Quick Tip Before You Apply

Have your documents ready before logging in to the portal, keep a soft copy of your passport photograph, and make sure your email address is active. Simple steps, but they save a lot of wahala later.
