Kwara State University of Education has released its approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. It contains dates for resumption, registration, lectures, matriculation, assessments, and exams. All students are urged to check carefully and keep to the timetable.

Kwara State University of Education, Ilorin, has rolled out the official calendar for the 2025/2026 academic year. The dates were stamped and made public to guide both old and new students through the Harmattan and Rain semesters. Like a map for a long road trip, this calendar helps everyone know where the bends and stops are.

Harmattan Semester Activities

The Harmattan semester opens its doors in October, with a string of activities lined up:

  • Resumption of Students: Friday, 10 October 2025
  • Screening and Registration Begins: Monday, 13 October 2025
  • End of Registration: Friday, 24 October 2025
  • Late Registration: Saturday, 25 October – Monday, 27 October 2025
  • Lectures Begin: Monday, 27 October 2025
  • Add and Drop of Courses: Monday, 3 November – Monday, 10 November 2025
  • Matriculation Ceremony: Friday, 5 December 2025
  • Continuous Assessment: Monday, 12 January – Friday, 23 January 2026
  • Lectures End: Friday, 27 February 2026
  • Examinations: Monday, 9 March – Friday, 20 March 2026
  • Results Consideration: Wednesday, 25 March 2026

Rain Semester Activities

After the Harmattan session, the Rain semester steps in quickly with another full schedule:

  • Lectures Start: Monday, 6 April 2026
  • Continuous Assessment: Monday, 11 May – Friday, 22 May 2026
  • Lectures End: Friday, 26 June 2026
  • Examinations: Monday, 6 July – Friday, 17 July 2026
  • Results Consideration: Wednesday, 29 July 2026

No long gap is given, the switch from lectures to exams happens in quick succession. It is almost like turning one page of a book straight into another
