For many who tossed and turned waiting for good news, the first batch admission list from Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro has finally landed. It covers those seeking spots in the National Diploma full-time programmes for the new session.
The list is now public and if your name sits there, then it is time to move fast. After all, good news without action is like planting without watering.
How to check your name
There are two easy ways to confirm your status:
- Visit the official PDF admission list.
- Or, go through the JAMB CAPS portal using your username and password.
On CAPS, once you log in, scroll down, hit Check Admission Status, and then select Access my CAPS. Under that, you’ll see if you have been offered a place.
A little tip: if you are checking on a phone, switch to desktop mode, especially on Chrome, because sometimes the full page hides itself. Small wahala but nothing serious.
Next steps after admission
Being offered admission is just step one. Here is what follows:
- Pay ₦10,000 processing fee and ₦38,500 acceptance fee.
- Deadline for acceptance fee is Monday, 15th September 2025. Miss it, and the offer slips away.
- Submit these documents at the admissions office:
- JAMB admission letter
- JAMB UTME result
- O’Level result
- Post-UTME screening form printout
Candidates must also meet all JAMB requirements before payment can be made. Without that, the portal will simply block you.
Accept or reject via SMS
If your CAPS status shows “Admitted”, you still need to send ACCEPT or REJECT to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone line tied to your JAMB profile. For those still seeing “Not Admitted” or “In Progress”, patience is the watchword. The list is released in batches, so things may change.
Once you accept, quickly print your JAMB admission letter to keep safe.
