Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has announced the schedule for its Orientation Programme for newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session. The Division of Student Affairs released the details to prepare fresh students for life on campus and to guide them through academic and social expectations at OAU.
The Orientation Programme will run from Monday, 3rd November to Wednesday, 5th November, 2025, at the Amphitheatre, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. All newly admitted students are expected to attend and take part in all sessions
About the OAU Orientation Programme
During the programme, students will be introduced to the university’s academic structure, student conduct rules, and available support services. Sessions will cover topics such as academic integrity, health and safety, and access to student unions and societies.
Representatives from various departments and campus units will also speak on student welfare, library use, and community involvement. This gathering offers an early chance for students to meet key staff members and connect with peers before lectures begin.
What New Students Should Expect
Participants will receive guidance on adapting to university life, balancing academic work with personal wellbeing, and using university facilities. The sessions will also highlight opportunities for leadership and personal growth within OAU’s academic environment.
Students are encouraged to arrive early at the venue each day and to bring writing materials for note-taking. Attendance is compulsory, as the event forms part of the registration process for all new entrants.
