The National Ear Care Centre (NECC), Kaduna, has rolled out admission for its short but practical course in Primary Ear Care. The programme is four weeks long, designed for health workers who deal directly with community cases. For many, it is a chance to pick up new skills without stepping away from work for too long.
Who the Course Is For
The course is meant for health professionals already working at community level. The categories include:
- Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEW)
- Senior Community Health Extension Workers (SCHEW)
- Community Health Officers (CHOs)
- Public Health Nurses
- General Nurses working in community practice
This means the focus is clear: those already serving people on the ground.
