Key Requirements for the Chief Medical Director Position
To qualify for this esteemed role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Medical Qualifications: Must be medically qualified and registered for at least 12 years.
- Postgraduate Qualification: Hold a postgraduate medical qualification obtained at least 5 years prior to this advertisement.
- Denominational Affiliation: Must be of the Baptist Denomination.
Additionally, successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Extensive managerial experience in a tertiary medical institution.
- Evidence of a current practicing license.
- Recognized professional and academic achievements at both national and international levels.

Tenure of Office
The Chief Medical Director will serve a two-year term, starting from the date of appointment. This term is renewable based on satisfactory performance.
Salary and Allowances
Salary and allowances will be in accordance with the approved structure established by the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Bowen University, and the BUTH Management Board.

Interested candidates should submit 15 copies of their application and credentials in a sealed envelope labeled “Post of Chief Medical Director” at the top left corner. Your application must include:
- A vision statement for the hospital for the next two years and beyond.
- Names and addresses of three referees, one of whom must be your Church Pastor.
- Proof of payment of a non-refundable fee of N20,000 for Expression of Interest to the hospital’s Accounts Department.
