The institution is inviting applications from qualified candidates for its National Diploma (ND) full-time, ND part-time, and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the ND programmes, candidates must have a minimum score of 120 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB. They must also have at least five O’level credits, including English Language, Mathematics, and three other subjects relevant to their chosen course. These credits should be obtained in not more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, or GCE. For some courses, a credit in Mathematics may not be required.
For HND programmes, candidates need a National Diploma (ND) certificate in a relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit. They must also have at least one year of post-ND industrial training experience. Candidates with a Pass grade in their ND can apply if they have at least two years of industrial training experience.
How to Apply
Applying for admission is straightforward and can be done in three ways:
- Online Application: Visit the Foundation Polytechnic portal at https://foundationpoly.edu.ng. Click on the “Admission” link, select the admission form, and provide your email address and phone number. Make a payment of N2,000 (excluding bank charges) using an ATM card enabled for online transactions. After payment, you will receive an App ID, PIN, and Serial Number to complete the online form. Once submitted, print the completed form. Return to the portal after 24 hours to print your admission letter if your application is approved.
- Mobile Application: Send your full name, JAMB registration number, and preferred course to 0706-809-2448 via text or WhatsApp. You will receive a response within 24 hours with an admission letter, which you can print out.
- Paper Application: Visit the Registrar’s office at the polytechnic campus in Ikot Ekpene to fill out a paper application form. An admission letter will be issued once the process is complete.
Screening Process
There is no written examination for the screening. Candidates are required to bring their O’level results, JAMB result slip, and birth certificate for verification. Screening happens every working day at the polytechnic.
Important Notes
- The cost of the admission form is N2,000, and it is non-refundable.
- Candidates who did not initially choose Foundation Polytechnic during JAMB registration must visit a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to change their first-choice institution to Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene.
