The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi (FPTB) has commenced its admission exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. The intake covers all existing programmes as well as several newly approved courses across different schools. EducationNGR also learnt that the newly added programmes are aimed at expanding practical training opportunities and improving graduates’ career prospects.
Both National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates are eligible to apply, provided they meet the required entry qualifications.

Application Procedure
Applicants are to apply through the official Federal Polytechnic Bauchi admission portal at portal.fptb.edu.ng.
On the portal, candidates should select Online Admission, enter their details, and generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR). After making payment, applicants must return to the portal to complete the application form using the application number and phone number provided earlier. Missing any step may lead to delays in processing.
The application fee is ₦6,500, which is non-refundable. This fee applies to all applicants except those applying for ND programmes. Payment can be made at any bank or online via Remita.
Important Notice to Applicants
Only candidates who selected Federal Polytechnic Bauchi as their First Choice institution in JAMB will be considered for admission. Applicants who did not choose the Polytechnic initially are required to visit a JAMB office to effect a change of institution before applying.
ND candidates are also expected to accept and print their JAMB admission letters within four weeks of being offered admission. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of the admission offer.
