PLASU
PLASU Important Notice on Tuition Fee Increasement 2025/2026

The management of Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has clarified that there has been no increase in tuition fees for the 2025/2026 academic session. This statement comes in response to recent social media posts suggesting a fee hike.

According to an internal memorandum signed by the Registrar, Yakubu F. Ayuba, and sent to all students, the university confirmed that tuition fees for both new and returning students have stayed the same since 2022. Despite rising costs and inflation, PLASU has maintained its fee structure to ease the financial pressure on students.

The memo further explained that the confusion may have been caused by the introduction of a new ₦5,000 ICT charge, which is entirely separate from tuition fees. This charge was approved by the University’s Governing Council to support ICT services and provide free internet access across campus.

It also restated that the ₦10,000 Bench Fee, introduced in 2021 to replace irregular departmental levies, remains unchanged. Initially meant for final-year students, the fee now applies to students in 22 departments whose programmes involve outdoor learning activities such as fieldwork, excursions, and productions.

The university encouraged students to make use of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) made available by the Federal Government. This initiative aims to reduce financial challenges connected with tuition and related payments.

Kogi State Poly Announces Resumption Date 2025/2026

Kogi State Polytechnic has fixed its resumption date for the 2025/2026 session. Freshers and returning students are to resume on 15th September, while those on SIWES will return in December. The calendar also covers registration, orientation, and matriculation dates.

Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, has released its official resumption date and other key activities for the 2025/2026 academic session. The decision came after the Academic Board met in an emergency sitting on Monday, 4th September 2025.

According to the timetable signed off by the Director of Academic Planning, students now have a clearer path for the year ahead.

Kogi State Polytechnic Resumption Date

  • Fresh and returning students (except those on SIWES) are to resume on Monday, 15th September 2025.
  • SIWES students are expected back later, on Monday, 8th December 2025.

This staggered start means not everyone is rushing in at once, giving the school room to manage the calendar effectively.

Registration Period

The registration exercise starts on the very day of resumption, 15th September, and runs till 10th October 2025.

  • Late registration, which attracts a fee of ₦5,000, will be open between 13th and 17th October 2025.
  • Students are advised to complete theirs early to avoid stress and penalties.

Orientation and Matriculation for New Students

The Polytechnic has also lined up orientation and matriculation ceremonies for newcomers. These will take place between 27th and 29th October 2025.

This stage officially welcomes new students into the fold, giving them a taste of campus life before the heavier academic load kicks in.

Rector’s Message

The Rector, speaking on behalf of the Management and Academic Board, wished all students safe travels back to campus. A short but heartfelt reminder that beyond dates and deadlines, their well-being matters too.

University of Abuja (UNIABUJA)
UNIABUJA Important Notice to all 2025/2026 Direct Entry Candidates

University of Abuja has issued an important notice to all Direct Entry applicants for the 2025/2026 session. Candidates are to verify their certificates at their former schools and ensure clearance on the JAMB portal. Kindly follow the outlined steps below.

The University of Abuja has sounded a clear call to its Direct Entry candidates. If you’re among those hoping to join the university for the 2025/2026 academic year, there’s a small but serious task you must complete. It’s about your certificates, and the school is saying without this step, you won’t be cleared on their portal.

It may look like routine paperwork, but in truth, this can make or break your admission process.

What UNIABUJA Direct Entry Applicants Must Do

Here’s the path you’re expected to follow, plain and simple:

  • Go back to the school where you got your First Degree, NCE, A-Level, or any other result.
  • Ask for your certificate to be verified.
  • Make sure it is uploaded and approved on the JAMB (NIPEDS) portal.
  • An official email must have reached your former school about this process, so follow it up.

Missing this step means no clearance on the university’s system, no matter your scores or efforts.

Why It Matters

Universities are careful with credentials these days. UNIABUJA is stressing that every certificate must be checked from the source before it can stand. It’s their way of keeping things clean and fair for all.

Federal University Lokoja fulokoja
Notice: FULOKOJA Exam Misconduct List and Penalties for 2025

Federal University Lokoja reminds students that second semester exams begin 1 September 2025. The school has listed offences considered misconduct and their penalties, ranging from rustication to expulsion. All candidates are urged to read carefully and follow the rules.

Federal University Lokoja has dropped a big reminder. The second semester exams are set to begin on Monday, 1 September 2025. With that comes a stern warning: play by the rules or face the music. Nobody wants their years of study cut short by a careless mistake, yet every session someone tries it.

Offences and their penalties

The school has laid it all out, no sugar-coating. If you break the rules, the punishment is already waiting. Some are heavy, others lighter, but none are pleasant. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Checking cheat notes outside during the exam – expulsion
  • Physical assault on invigilators inside or outside hall – expulsion
  • Use of phones, calculators, smart devices, Bluetooth gadgets – expulsion
  • Destroying evidence of malpractice – expulsion

Staff accountability too

This warning is not just for students. Any staff member caught helping candidates cheat, extorting money, or demanding favours in exchange for grades will face the Staff Disciplinary Committee. The rules cut both ways.

Other reminders for smooth exams

  • Computer-Based Exams (CBE) must be taken with calmness and order, ICT Centre rules apply.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University UNIZIK
Notice: UNIZIK Bans Final Year “Signing Off” Activities Indefinitely

Nnamdi Azikiwe University has banned all “signing off” activities for final year students. The move, announced in an official memo, is to curb chaos and keep the campus safe. Students are advised to take note and focus on their studies.

The news came like a sharp knock on the door. One of those announcements that change the usual rhythm of campus life. Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has drawn a hard line. No more “signing off” ceremonies for final year students, at least not on school grounds.

The Announcement

The decision did not float in the air as a rumour. It was stamped and signed in a memo dated 19 August 2025 by the Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke. The note spelled it out clearly: the practice is banned, and not just for now but indefinitely.

The reason? According to management, these events have grown messy. Instead of joy and farewell smiles, they have turned into scenes of chaos, sometimes even violence. Normal activities on campus were being disrupted, and that was the last straw.

Why The Clampdown

The school pointed to two things. First, the security of students and staff. Second, the growing number of outsiders who troop into the campus during these send-off rituals. The memo described them as threats, strangers whose presence stirs up trouble.

Management says enough is enough. Anyone caught in the act, whether planning, joining, or even tagging along with these banned activities, will face strong disciplinary action. Rustication was mentioned, and that is no small word in a student’s life.

For Outsiders

The memo went a step further. Outsiders who sneak into the campus to join in such events will not just be sent away. They will be arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, what lawyers call breach of peace. In simple terms, the school is not joking.

Final Word From The Registrar

In closing, Dr. Okeke urged students to keep their heads in the books and leave drama behind. The call was plain, focus on academics and report any shady happenings to the right authorities.
