Screening Process

  • The screening is based on a point grading system using your UTME score and O’level grades in your five best relevant subjects. The maximum score is 50%.
  • For O’level grading: A1 = 10 points, B2 = 9 points, B3 = 8 points, C4 = 7 points, C5 = 6 points, C6 = 5 points.
  • To calculate your aggregate score: Divide your UTME score by 8 (e.g., 250/8 = 31.25) and add your O’level points (e.g., 3 A1s and 2 B2s = 3×10 + 2×9 = 48). Total = 31.25 + 48 = 79.25%.
  • Medicine and Dentistry require one sitting, and competitive courses like Medicine (240), Nursing (220), and Law (195) may have higher departmental cut-off marks.
