The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) in Effurun, Delta State, has opened applications for its Certificate Programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. How to Apply

Applying for the PTI Certificate Programmes is simple and can be done online. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the PTI website at www.pti.edu.ng.

  2. Go to the “Programmes Menu,” select “Certificate Programmes,” and click “Apply Here.”

  3. Fill in the “FULL-TIME Applicant Sign On” page and click “Sign Up” at the bottom. Make sure to write down your username and password for future use, then click “Submit.”

  4. You will be directed to the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) page to generate a unique RRR code. Print this page and take it to any bank to pay the non-refundable application fee of N15,000.

  5. After payment, return to the PTI website, click on “Students’ Menu,” and select “Applicant Login.”

  6. Log in with your username and password, complete the online application form, and print it out. This form, along with your RRR code printout, must be presented at the examination or interview centre.

  7. If you face login issues after payment, send an email to itsupport@pti.edu.ng with your RRR code for assistance.

Entrance Examination for General Welding

Candidates applying for the General Welding Certificate Programme will need to take an entrance examination. The date for this exam will be announced later, and candidates are advised to arrive at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State, a day before to confirm their exam venue.

Important Information

  • The application fee for the certificate programmes is N15,000, and it is non-refundable.

  • Online applications are open from June 17, 2025, to August 9, 2025. Late registration will run from August 10, 2025, to August 18, 2025.

  • The screening and interview for the Commercial Diving Programme will take place from August 19 to August 23, 2025, at PTI, Effurun.

Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Idem, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, has announced that its admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session is now open. How to Apply

Applying for admission is straightforward and can be done in three ways:

  1. Online Application: Visit the Foundation Polytechnic portal at https://foundationpoly.edu.ng. Click on the “Admission” link, select the admission form, and provide your email address and phone number. Make a payment of N2,000 (excluding bank charges) using an ATM card enabled for online transactions. After payment, you will receive an App ID, PIN, and Serial Number to complete the online form. Once submitted, print the completed form. Return to the portal after 24 hours to print your admission letter if your application is approved.
  2. Mobile Application: Send your full name, JAMB registration number, and preferred course to 0706-809-2448 via text or WhatsApp. You will receive a response within 24 hours with an admission letter, which you can print out.
  3. Paper Application: Visit the Registrar’s office at the polytechnic campus in Ikot Ekpene to fill out a paper application form. An admission letter will be issued once the process is complete.

Screening Process

There is no written examination for the screening. Candidates are required to bring their O’level results, JAMB result slip, and birth certificate for verification. Screening happens every working day at the polytechnic.

Important Notes

  • The cost of the admission form is N2,000, and it is non-refundable.
  • Candidates who did not initially choose Foundation Polytechnic during JAMB registration must visit a JAMB office or accredited CBT centre to change their first-choice institution to Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene.

  • One year of post-ND Industrial Training (IT) experience. Candidates with a Pass grade need two years of IT experience.

For the 2024/2025 academic session, the admission screening process will be an internal screening of qualified candidates.

UNILESA Post UTME Eligibility 2024/2025

  • Candidates must have at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB at no more than two (2) sittings.
  • Applicants must also meet the required O’ Level subjects and correct UTME subject combinations for their chosen programmes.
  • Candidates should be at least 16 years old before applying for admission.

How to Apply for UNILESA Post UTME/Direct Entry 2024/2025

Follow these steps to apply for the Post UTME or Direct Entry screening at UNILESA.

Steps for Post UTME Candidates

  • Candidates must have selected UNILESA as their first choice in the 2024/2025 JAMB UTME and scored 160 or above.
  • Candidates who did not initially choose UNILESA can change their first choice to UNILESA via the JAMB CAPS portal if they scored 160 or above.
  • All applicants must apply through the UNILESA admission portal and pay a ₦2,000 screening fee, excluding portal charges.
  • Candidates shortlisted for admission will be notified through JAMB CAPS and the University’s portal.
  • Upon receiving an admission offer, candidates must accept the offer through JAMB CAPS.

Direct Entry Application Process

  • Direct Entry candidates are required to follow JAMB-approved procedures.
  • Applications must be submitted via the UNILESA admission portal.
  • A screening fee of ₦2,000 (excluding portal charges) is required for Direct Entry applications as well.

  4. Possess five credits including English and Mathematics in O’Level, in no more than two sittings.

FUD Post UTME/Direct Entry Registration Procedure

The screening fee is Two Thousand Naira (₦2,000).

Follow these steps to register for the screening:

  1. Visit the FUD Post UTME/DE Portal.
  2. Log in using your UTME/DE registration number and state of origin as the password.
  3. Update your date of birth, email, phone number, state, and LGA.
  4. Generate an invoice and Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRR).
  5. Use the RRR to pay the ₦2,000 screening fee online or at any commercial bank.
  6. Upload your O’Level and A’Level results where applicable, along with a passport photograph.
  7. Print the Acknowledgment Slip.

  • Ensure you print the Remita Payment Receipt, Acknowledgment Slip, and JAMB UTME Notification of Results.
