The University of Ilorin, UNILORIN Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board wishes to inform the public, that the UNILORIN JUPEB admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session is now on sale.

All interested candidates are to take note of the following:

For those who do not know about the JUPEB programme, it stands for “Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB)”, and it is a national examination body which is approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The JUPEB Board is solely responsible for conducting common and standard examinations for candidates who have been exposed to a minimum of one-year approved learning in the University, and are currently seeking Direct Entry admissions into 200 level in Nigerian Universities.

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University of Ilorin JUPEB Programme.

This intensive programme prepares students for the JUPEB examinations. Successful candidates can apply for admission through Direct Entry into the University of Ilorin and other Universities affiliated to JUPEB.

UNILORIN JUPEB Admission Requirements:

All interested applicants must possess credit passes in at least five (5) relevant O’Level subjects (which must include the following):

English Language, Mathematics and any other three O’Level subjects in WASC/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB and its equivalent, in not more than two sittings.

Candidates awaiting results can also apply for the Unilorin JUPEB Programme.

All interested applicants are expected to register for a combination of 3 subjects out of the 16 subjects. These three subjects must be according to their proposed course of study in the University.

  • Step 5. After you must have confirmed your e-mail, log in to your account.

he Senate of the Federal University of Technology, Yola (MAUTECH) at its 48th Special meeting approved the commencement of the Sandwich Programme in the School of Technology & Science Education. This was consequent upon the identified need for the programme in the university’s catchments area, and the pressure mounted on it by the Federal College of Education Yola (FCE Yola),which needed to transfer its displaced students of the University of Ilorin, Satellite Campus of Yola, to a nearby University, following the Federal Government’s pronouncement on the closure of Satellite Campuses.

In actual fact, the programme was billed to commence with the students of the University of Ilorin Satellite Campus of the Federal College of Education Yola.

The Sandwich Unit was set up in line with the vision and mission of the National Policy on Education to train highly skilled, professionally competent intellectually sound science and mathematics teachers for Nigerian Secondary Schools and Colleges. The process of producing these quality teachers is through: The development of learners’ talents in both contents of their teaching subjects and educational pedagogy.

Enhancing the practicum of science and mathematics teaching by organizing a closely supervised teaching practice.

Coping with the dynamics of the Unit through research work on contemporary issues in education and encouraging innovative ways of effective teaching and learning of science subjects.

Collaborating with other relevant programmes in the university to produce balanced students who possess requisite knowledge, skills and desirable work attitudes

 

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission one most possesses the following: NCE with distinction, credit or merit in the major subjects, or Diploma in Education with Distinction or Credit, plus a minimum of 5 credits in the SSCE/WASC/NECO/GCE O’ Level in relevant subjects or Grade II Teachers’ Certificate with a minimum of merit grade in at least 5 relevant subjects.

GCE A’ Level or its equivalent in two relevant subjects, plus 5 credits in the relevant O’ Level subjects. Duration of the Course

 

The duration of the course is Five (5) Contacts Years Administrative Structure

The Sandwich Unit is managed by the Coordinator who coordinates its affairs, chairs its departmental board, and liaises with the Chairman, Sandwich Management Board and the University administration on behalf of the Unit.

Members of staff (both academic and non academic) are assigned certain functions and responsibilities to execute for the smooth running of the Unit; and all members of staff are answerable to the coordinator. Graduation Requirements For the award of B.Tech (Ed)/B Ed. (Hons.) a candidate must have passed all prescribed and registered courses.

With a minimum/maximum of 20 / 24 units to be registered in any contact. A candidate is expected to have registered and passed at least/most 110 units / 155 units, with a CGPA of not less than 1.00.

A written project and 15 major component of a student’s graduation requirements as well.

Programme Sub-discipline/Discipline Structure to include period of formal studies in the Universities Industrial training, planned visit and projects.

Four (4) subjects at credit level, at not more than two sittings (which must include Mathematics and English Language plus any two subject relevant to the proposed field of study from the following; Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science, Food and Nutrition, Home Management, Geography, Economics in the General Certificate of Education (GCE): Ordinary Level” Examination, Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) or their equivalents.

c. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least an upper credit from a recognized Institution in Agriculture or related disciplines may be considered;

d. HND holders with lower credit with relevant post-qualification experience; and

e. Holders of other qualifications which may be acceptable to the Academic Board.

  1. Create an account at the WUFPBK screening portal.
  2. Log in and continue the application process.
  3. Generate a Remita code from the Application Tab or the Remita logo.
  4. Visit a reliable cyber café for assistance if needed.
  5. Pay ₦2,500 at the bank and obtain the “Payment Advice” printout.
  6. Return to the portal and complete your application.
  7. Upload a recent passport-sized photograph.

Admission Requirements

To qualify for admission into LASU’s part-time degree programmes, applicants must meet certain requirements.

Visit the LASU official website for full details about the admission requirements for each programme.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Direct Entry Requirements

Candidates with a Diploma Certificate (OND) from a government-approved polytechnic or those with an Upper Credit in LASU Diploma in relevant courses with the required five (5) O’Level credits can apply for direct entry.

Method of Application

Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit LASU’s e-payment platform to pay a non-refundable fee of N20,000 for the application form.
  2. Fill in the application form online and upload all necessary credentials.
  3. Submit the completed form online and wait for the invitation to the screening process.

Successful candidates will then pay an acceptance fee of N30,000 and a medical fee of N30,000.

The application will remain open for six (6) weeks from the date of this publication.

FCE Oyo Special Post UTME Admission Form 2024/2025. The Federal College of Education Oyo Special Post UTME screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session will take place soon.

Eligibility for NCE Programme

  • Candidates who chose Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo as their first choice during the 2024 UTME and scored 100 or above.
  • Candidates who did not initially select the College but scored 100 or more can also apply after changing their institution to Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo and making it their first choice.

Screening Exercise Details

  • Time: 9:00 am
  • Venue: As stated on the print-out copy of the online completed admission screening application form.

Requirements for the Screening

Make sure you have the following items for the screening exercise:

  1. The completed admission screening form (available online from Monday, 19th August, 2024).
  2. UTME e-notification of results slip.
  3. The original and photocopy of the completed admission screening application form.
  4. SSCE/GCE O Level (WAEC/NECO) or equivalent results.
  5. Change of institution slip for those who switched to Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo.
  6. Upload your SSCE/GCE O’Level (WAEC/NECO) or NABTEB results to your JAMB profile at any accredited CBT Centre.

Method of Application for FCE Oyo Special Post UTME Admission

Follow these steps to apply for the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo Post UTME:

  1. Visit the official college portal and pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000 for online registration at any Commercial Bank or through the Remita platform.
  2. Complete the online application form carefully and submit.
  3. Upload digital copies of your O’level result and passport photograph (JPEG or JPG, 100kb or less).
  4. Print the Online Application Form to confirm your successful registration.

The deadline for submitting the online application for the first batch of admission screening is Wednesday, 25th September, 2024, by 4:00 pm.

Application for Non-First Choice Candidates

Candidates who did not choose FEDCODTTEN as their first choice but scored at least 150 in UTME can also apply. You must visit the JAMB website for a change of institution.

Payment and Registration Process

Application starts on 21st August 2024 and ends on 29th November 2024.

Eligible candidates are required to pay the following fees:

  • Two thousand naira (N2,000.00) for post-UTME candidates.
  • Twenty thousand naira (N20,000.00) for candidates seeking admission into the Post Basic Dental Nursing programme.

Payment must be made through the college portal. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the college portal.
  2. Select the “2024/2025 application form”.
  3. Generate an invoice by entering your JAMB registration number.
  4. Pay through the bank or with your ATM card.
  5. Return to the portal to complete your registration.

Submission of O’Level Results

You must upload your O’Level results on the JAMB portal before 29th November 2024.

Screening Process

The screening will consider verified JAMB scores and your O’Level results uploaded on JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
