This is to inform all UTME and Direct Entry candidates who have applied for admission into Taraba State University Jalingo, TASU for 2024/2025 academic session that the admission form is on sale online and the online post UTME screening exercise commences from:

13th September, 2024  to  12th October, 2024.

Method of Application for TASU Post-UTME/DE Admission 2024 

  1.  Log on to https://apply.tsuniversity.edu.ng/register.php
  2. Click on payment for post UTME
  3.  Select mode of entry: UTME or Direct Entry (DE)
  4.  Fill in all the required information as contained in the online form and upload all relevant credentials and click submit
  5. You will be redirected to use your card (master, Visa or Verve Card) to make payment
  6. Print payment receipt and acknowledgement slip

Eligibility for TASU Post-UTME/DE Admission 2024

  •  Only UTME and Direct Entry candidates who selected Taraba State University Jalingo as their first choice of Institution are eligible for the online screening exercise
  • UTME candidates must have scored not less than 140 in the 2024 UTME and obtained five (5) o’level relevant credits including Mathematics and English at not more than two sittings
  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates must have obtained a minimum of Lower Credit at Diploma. NCE and IJMB with relevant five (5) O’level credits at not more than two sittings.

Note: Only candidates who participate in the screening exercise will be considered for admission. In addition, any false declaration can lead to a candidate’s disqualification at any stage of the admission process.

Be informed that the Air Force Institute of Technology, AFIT has officially released the results of the Post-UTME screening examination for the 2024/2025 academic session. Candidates who participated in the examination can now access their results through the university’s official website.

How to AFIT Post-UTME Results 2024/2025

  1. Visit the AFIT official portal at portal.afit.edu.ng/putme_result
  2. Login using your UTME registration number and password.
  3. Your Post-UTME result will be displayed on the screen.

Important Information on AFIT Post-UTME :

  • Candidates are advised to print a copy of their results for future reference.
  • The results are expected to be used in the overall admission process, which includes UTME scores and other relevant criteria.
  • The university will soon announce the admission list for successful candidates.
  •  Candidates are advised to check the AFIT website regularly for updates and announcements.

TASUED Announces Resumption Date 2024/2025

This is to inform the general public especially the staff and students of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) that resumption date is out and the 2024/2025 Academic Session will commence from

Monday, 16th September, 2024.

  1. Returning and Newly Admitted students are expected back on campus in the new week as the session takes off.
  2. 400-level students who meet the requirements for teaching practice are to commence their TP on Monday, 16th September 2024.
  3. 200 and 300- levels Students are expected to commence registration and lectures for the first semester accordingly.
  4. Freshers, (Newly admitted students) are to immediately start their registration exercise.
  5. It should be noted, however, that registration by newly admitted students does not require the engagement or services of any agent, staff or any other proxy arrangement. The registration process is simple, seamless and user-friendly.
  6. Students who experience any form of difficulty during the registration process should seek assistance at the Students’ Affairs Office.

TASUED issues notice on commencement of 2024/2025 academic session

Elizade University NUC Nod for Postgraduate Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Elizade University, Ilara-Mokin to run full-time Postgraduate programmes (LLM., M.Phil and Ph.D.) in Law and M.Sc. Architecture with effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.

This is based on the outcome of the resource verification visit by a panel of experts from the National Universities Commission to assess the human and material resources available in the University.

The Ag. Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission, Mr. Chris Maiyaki, who conveyed the approval in a memo to the Vice Chancellor, felicitated Elizade University on the stride and charged the institution to continue to provide adequate human and material resources for the development and growth of the approved programmes.

I am directed to inform all Staff and Students that due to the ongoing flooding across Maiduguri and it’s adverse effect, the Bornu State University (BOSU)  Management has to comply with the circular of the Borno State Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation to close the University from today Tuesday, 10th September.

The New BOSU Resumption Date is

Monday, 16th September 2024.

Fuel Hike: OAU SUG Approves New Transport Fares 2024

The OAU Students Union Government has Approved New Transportation  Fares around the campus. Following a series of meetings with the leaders of the transport unions (Town gboro), we are pleased to announce the temporary agreed transport prices for students.

These prices have been set to ensure fairness and prevent extortion by drivers. We urge students to familiarize themselves with these new prices to avoid overcharging and to report any driver or bike operator who refuses to comply with the new prices.

It is important to note that these prices are temporary, given the current economic situation. Both the union and transport leaders have agreed to reconvene and review the rate should the price of petrol decrease in the future.

In the meantime, we strongly advise all students to adhere strictly to the official price guidelines as provided by the Students’ Union. Students are to pay only the stipulated amounts and are encouraged to report any violations.

In cases of aggressive behavior from violators, students should avoid confrontation. Instead, record the Cartrec number or vehicle plate number and promptly report the incident to the Union.

We remain committed to protecting the interests of students and ensuring a peaceful, fair transport system on our campus.
