Apply: Shaka Polytechnic HND Admission Form 2024/2025

Let the general public be informed that Shaka Polytechnic, located in Benin City, Edo State, has officially begun the sale of forms for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2024/2025 academic year.

UNILESA Post UTME Eligibility 2024/2025

  • Candidates must have at least five (5) credits in relevant subjects in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB at no more than two (2) sittings.

Follow these steps to apply for the Post UTME or Direct Entry screening at UNILESA.

Steps for Post UTME Candidates

  • Candidates must have selected UNILESA as their first choice in the 2024/2025 JAMB UTME and scored 160 or above.
  • Candidates who did not initially choose UNILESA can change their first choice to UNILESA via the JAMB CAPS portal if they scored 160 or above.
  • All applicants must apply through the UNILESA admission portal and pay a ₦2,000 screening fee, excluding portal charges.
  • Candidates shortlisted for admission will be notified through JAMB CAPS and the University’s portal.
  • Upon receiving an admission offer, candidates must accept the offer through JAMB CAPS.

Direct Entry Application Process

  • Direct Entry candidates are required to follow JAMB-approved procedures.
  • Applications must be submitted via the UNILESA admission portal.
  • A screening fee of ₦2,000 (excluding portal charges) is required for Direct Entry applications as well.

JAMB Activates Portal for 2024/2025 CAPS Admission Status

This is to inform the general public that the JAMB CAPS Portal  has been activated for 2024/2025 Admission Exercise.

This to inform all prospective candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions for the 2024/2025 academic session that the JAMB CAPS have been activated for the admission exercise.

What this Information Means

  • This means that candidates can now monitor their JAMB admission status and easily know when they have been offered admission.
  • The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed that it has enabled its portal for institutions to upload names of shortlisted applicants for the 2024/2025 admission.
  • The board emphasized that all admission processes must go through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for approval.
  • Once a candidate has been offered admission, such candidate is required to do either of two things; to accept the admission or to reject it.
  •  Once you accept the admission, your admission quest is over as you will no longer be available for other schools’ admission consideration.
  • On the other hand, if you reject the admission, you become available to other schools who have free admission slots for admission consideration.

It is important to note also that candidates who have been offered admission on JAMB CAPS are to equally print their admission letter after accepting the admission, as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.

Candidates are advised to closely monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS so as to do the needful as soon as possible.

Some schools may not even publish list of admitted candidates on their own portal or notice board. So for candidates that applied for admission in such schools, the only way to know when they have been offered admission is to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.

How to Check JAMB Admission Status on JAMB CAPS 2024

  1. Visit: https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard
  2. Click on ‘Check Admission Status,
  3. Click on ‘Access my CAPS’
  4. Click on ‘Admission Status’ to see if you have been offered admission. If you have been offered admission, you can proceed to ACCEPT OR REJECT ADMISSION But if you are yet to be offered admission you will get a response like “Sorry No Admission has been Given Yet“, “Admission in progress” etc

Candidates are advised to closely monitor their dashboard to know when they have been offered admission.

Successfully admitted candidates are advised to ensure that they indicate the acceptance or rejection of admission online and timely to enable the processing of their admission.

It is important to note also that candidates who have been offered admission are to print their admission letter after accepting the admission, as they will likely need this during clearance and registration in the school that they have been admitted.

Note:

  • If you are using a phone, you may not see the option to check is Admission Status on CAPS, Most phone users may only see the welcome message.
  • The caps page shows only welcome because it requires you to use desktop mode to view the complete page.
