Screening Procedure for UAES Post UTME/Direct Entry Admission 2024

For the 2024/2025 academic session, the admission screening process will be an internal screening of qualified candidates.

There will be no Post-UTME tests, either written or computer-based.

Documents Required for Admission Screening

Candidates must provide the following documents during the screening process.

  • Two passport photographs with a white background.
  • Birth certificate from the National Population Commission.
  • Age attestation from a parent or guardian.
  • State or Local Government of Origin certificate.
  • O-level result certificates (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/CAMBRIDGE), not handwritten and not more than two sittings.
  • A-level, IJMB, OND, HND, or BSc results or transcripts for DE candidates.
  • 2024 JAMB result with the correct subject combinations.
  • Evidence of Change of Institution where applicable.
  • Proof of payment of N2,000 for the UAES Post-UTME form via Remita.
  • Letter of sponsorship from a parent or guardian.
  • One white office file.

Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) wishes to inform you that the Coordinating Honourable Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of results of the Professional Examination in Midwilery – September 2024

Important NMCN Notice to candidates

Summary of the results indicated that four thousand, seven hundred and Filly-three 14,753) candidates were successful representing 80% with the breakdown as follows

a) Post Basic Midwifery: Two thousand, one hundred and thirty-seven (2,137) candidates were successful, representing 92% pass

b)

  • Basic Midwifery: One thousand, eight hundred and thirty-five (1,835) candidates were successful, representing 72% pass.
  • Basic Midwifery (Refreshers): 16 candidates were successful, representing 100% pass
  • Community Midwifery: Seven hundred and sixty-five (765) candidates wme successful, representing 89% pass

Heads of the training institutions are hereby directed to check the result of their institution(s) on-line as from Monday 16 September, 2024

  1. Successful candidates are hereby directed to visit the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal to apply on-line for registration and licensing with effect from 16 September, 2024
  2. Please note that on-line registration Formalities Including payment of registration the should be completed within ninety (90) days. Furthermore, any application for registration initiated and not completed within thirty (30) days will be automatically deleted by the portal
  3.  Late registration attracts a penalty fee of Sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (16,250.00) only, per applicant after ninety (90) days. Additionally, a penalty fee of six thousand, five hundred and sixty-two Naira (N6,562.00) only will be charged per year in default of first licensing
  4. The next Professional Examination in Midwidery is to be held from Tuesday 11 Friday 14 March, 2025.
  5. Heads of nursing training institutions are hereby requested to send statistics of eligible candidates for March, 2025 Professional Examination in Midwifery to exam@nmcn.gov.ng on or before 31 December, 2024 using Examination Application Checklist (EAC). Kindly note that Examination Application Checklist received after this date will be rejected outrightly.

The Covenant Polytechnic wishes to  inform all students of ND1, ND2, HND1, and HND2 that there will be screening of their certificates from

Monday (23/09/2024) to Friday (27/09/2024) at the MPH Hall by 11am each day.

Students are to come with the original copies of the following documents: O/L result, ND result (for HND Students), birth certificate or age declaration from the court, letter of recommendation/attestation, local government identification certificate, medical receipt, IT letter for HND students, Log book receipt for ND2 students.

All students should pay screening fee of two thousand (#2000) naira only to the bursary and present their receipts to the screening officials for the exercise.

Students should note that certificate Screening is an important academic exercise and any students not screened will not be allowed to write the second semester exams.

IMSU Postpones 2nd Semester Exams 2024

  1. Mon. 21st Oct., 2024 to Sat. 26th Oct., 2024 – Registration

  2. Mon. 21 Oct., 2024 to Sat. 2nd Nov., 2024 – Revision

  3. Mon. 4th Nov., 2024 to Sat. 9th Nov., 2024 – Examination

Note:

  1. The Special Resit Examination is granted to the following categories of students who are unable to graduate:
  2. Final year students with not more than four (4) outstanding courses to graduate. However, the resit is optional for final year students whose residency has not expired.
  3. The 300 level, 500 level and 600 level students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
  4. The 300 level students of pre-clinical programmes in the College of Medical Sciences.

In a Special Resit Examination, the maximum score that can be obtained is the minimum pass score i.e. 40% for classified degrees and 50% for unclassified degrees.
