University of Auckland Top Achiever
Apply: 2025 Nagas Group Scholarship: ₦50,000 for Nigerian Undergraduates

The 2025 Nagas Group Undergraduate Scholarship is now open to Nigerian university students. This post explains how to apply, who qualifies, and what you’ll need to submit before the 9 August deadline. If you’re a student trying to cover costs, this may help.

Every now and then, a little help shows up — not from your uncle or some crowdfunding site, but from folks who actually want to support your academic hustle. That’s what the Nagas Group Undergraduate Scholarship feels like. Quiet, simple, but helpful.

Applications for the 2025 round are open now. If you’re in a Nigerian university and tired of scraping through school bills, keep reading. This one might be for you.

Who Can Apply?

The requirements are pretty relaxed, and that’s refreshing.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate student
  • Be studying in an accredited Nigerian university
  • Have a valid student ID card and matric number

No CGPA barrier. No long essay about your life’s purpose. Just proof that you’re in school and serious about staying there.

How It Works (Not Hard, Honestly)

The application process is broken into three easy steps:

1. Sign Up

Start by creating your profile. You’ll need to fill in your:

  • Full name
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • School
  • Department
  • Matric number
  • Level

It’s nothing you haven’t done before.

2. Take a Short Quiz

This isn’t JAMB. But still, pay attention.

You’ll be tested on:

  • Maths
  • English
  • General Knowledge

Score at least 70%, and you move to the next stage. It’s a quick filter — no need to overthink.

3. Upload Your Documents

If you pass the quiz, you’ll be asked to upload:

  • Your student ID card
  • Admission letter
  • Most recent school fees receipt

Make sure your documents are clear and not sideways or blurred like a rushed WAEC selfie.

What You Stand to Get

It’s not millions, but it’s enough to make a dent in your fees or cover books, data or maybe even a mattress (if you’ve been sleeping on foam since 100 level).

Each selected student gets ₦50,000. No loan. No payback. Just money to support your school life.

Deadline to Apply

You’ve got until 9 August 2025 to send in your application.

But if you wait till the last minute, and network messes you up or the quiz portal freezes? That one’s on you.

So apply early. It won’t take more than 30 minutes from start to finish if you’ve got your documents ready.

Hamline International Excellence Scholarship
Apply: 2025 Bridge Scholarship for Nigerian Undergraduates

The 2025 Bridge Undergraduate Scholarship is now open to students in Nigerian public universities who are in financial need. This guide walks you through the eligibility rules, required documents and how to apply before the 12 September deadline. If you’re struggling with school fees, you may want to read on.

The Bridge Undergraduate Scholarships 2025

School stress is one thing. Worrying about school fees on top of that? That’s a whole different problem. If you’ve ever stared at your course registration portal and sighed because of unpaid fees, the Bridge Undergraduate Scholarship might be the kind of news you need.

Every year, the Bridge team looks for bright students who are trying to push through school, even when the odds aren’t great. Think of it as more than just money, though. There’s mentorship too. Leadership coaching. The kind of help that doesn’t just end with a transfer alert.

Who They Want

This isn’t for everybody. And they are clear about that.

You must:

  • Be a student in a Nigerian public university
  • Be in Year 1 up to your second-to-final year (no final year students allowed)
  • Have real financial need (no forming)
  • Be serious about finishing your degree
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 on a 5.0 scale
  • Show grit and character, especially in tough situations
  • Be active in your community or involved in school-related activities

That last one? It doesn’t mean you have to be SU President. Volunteering counts. Just show you’re not passive.

Timeline to Note

  • Opens: 1 August 2025
  • Closes: 12 September 2025 at 11:59 PM (WAT sharp)

Don’t wait till last minute. You don’t want to be that person asking your HOD for a reference letter at 9pm on deadline day.

What You’ll Need

This part might feel like plenty, but think of it like packing your bag before an exam. No room for errors.

Required Documents

  1. valid ID with photo (NIN, Voter’s card etc)
  2. University admission letter (from JAMB or the school itself)
  3. 500-word personal story — write about a tough time that affected your education and how you faced it (or didn’t).
  4. JAMB result – only if you’re in Year 1
  5. WAEC or NECO result – also for Year 1 only
  6. Your university transcript or academic record (compulsory if you’re beyond Year 1)
    • Medical students, include all MBBS exam results
  7. A letter from your Head of Department confirming your academic status
  8. Two recommendation letters – one page each
  9. Your CV
  10. Proof of leadership roles (if any). Write it on a page. Include your role, duties and people who can confirm it

And yeah, all letters must be typed, signed and addressed to “The Bridge Scholarship Board”. Phone numbers for contacts are non-negotiable. Email is extra.

Document Submission Format

  • Merge everything into one PDF file.
  • Follow the order listed above.
  • Use this merge link if you’re stuck.
  • Name the file with your first and last name.

If you ignore these instructions, no second chance. Your application will be thrown out.

How to Apply

Ready to go?

One Last Thing

This scholarship is looking for more than grades. They want real people. People who are juggling a lot but still pushing through. If that sounds like you, don’t dull.

university of benin UNIBEN
UNIBEN JUPEB Admission Form 2025/2026 Released – Start 200 Level

Thinking of skipping 100 level? The UNIBEN JUPEB programme might be your best bet. This article explains who can apply, how the programme works and how to get in. Keep reading to know what’s what and avoid missing deadlines.

You know that feeling when you’ve written JAMB once, maybe twice, and the result still dey do anyhow? Yeah, frustrating. Now imagine having a way to slide into 200 level without all that wahala. That’s where the JUPEB programme from the University of Benin (UNIBEN) comes in.

The 2025/2026 admission form is out, and if you’ve got your O’Levels sorted, you might want to pay close attention. Or bookmark this for later, at least. Either way, let’s break this thing down properly.

So, what’s JUPEB?

JUPEB stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board. Long name, simple idea. It’s a one-year pre-degree course designed to help you jump into 200 level at UNIBEN or other universities that accept JUPEB results. And yes, that includes some schools abroad.

Think of it like A-Level but made for Nigerian students. You take classes, write exams and, if you pass well, boom—direct entry admission. No JAMB stress.

What You’ll Be Doing in the Programme

This thing no be play. It’s packed.

Once you’re in, you’ll pick three subjects that match your future course. For example, if you’re eyeing Medicine, you’re doing Biology, Chemistry and Physics. If it’s Law, then Government, Literature and CRS are your squad.

Each subject is broken into four courses, so you’ll take twelve in total. You’ll also take two general studies courses, one each semester. It’s a lot, yeah, but it’s worth it if you want that 200 level shortcut.

The academic session lasts a full year, split into two semesters. Classes run Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. Non-residential, so if you’re not based in Benin City, plan your stay ahead.

What You Need to Get In

Before you rush to apply, check this:

  • You must have at least five O’Level credit passes. That includes English and Maths.
  • These credits should come from not more than two sittings.
  • WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE—all are fine.

No O’Level yet? Sorry o, come back next year.

Subject Combinations: Pick Your Squad Wisely

Here’s a quick peek at what subjects UNIBEN offers for different fields:

Arts

  • Government / Literature / CRS
  • History / Literature / CRS
  • Economics / Government / Literature

Education

  • Same combos as Arts, Social Sciences and others

Management & Social Sciences

  • Economics / Government / Maths
  • Business Studies / Government / Economics
  • CRS / Government / Economics
  • Accounting / Economics / Government

Law

  • Government / Literature / CRS

Sciences

  • Biology / Chemistry / Physics
  • Chemistry / Maths / Physics
  • Geography / Maths / Physics
  • Agricultural Science / Biology / Chemistry

Engineering

  • Chemistry / Maths / Physics

Health-related Courses (like Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing)

Pick subjects based on what you want to study in uni. No go carry Law subject combo when you sabi say you wan do Engineering.

Let’s be honest, admission season can scatter your head if you’re not careful. One minute you’re checking JAMB scores, the next you’re Googling “how to pass UNIBEN Post-UTME in one week.” If that’s you, relax small. Breathe. You’re in the right place.

And no, you can’t just stroll in anyhow.

Be seated at least one hour before your screening time. That’s not a suggestion. UNIBEN no dey smile on exam day.

Also, leave your phones and calculators at home or you’ll be turned back. Yes, even that small scientific one you’ve been using since SS1.

What to Bring on Exam Day

  • Your acknowledgment slip

Forget any of these, and you might be watching others write from the corridor.

Bottom line? If UNIBEN is your dream school, start your application early. Double-check your info. Don’t use someone else’s email or random cafe details.

UNIBEN Job Vacancies for Academic and Non-Academic Staff 2025

UNIBEN has opened applications for both teaching and non-teaching roles. This post covers who can apply, what’s needed, and how to get started. If you’re job-hunting or curious about university work, keep reading.

It’s that time again. UNIBEN has thrown its doors wide open for job seekers, and not just for lecturers or professors. If you’re interested in university work — whether you want to teach, manage admin, or help run the place behind the scenes — there’s likely something here for you.

This latest recruitment drive covers academic and non-academic roles, and the portal’s live. If you’ve been waiting for that chance to join one of Nigeria’s most respected public universities, maybe this is it.

Application Portal and Timeline

Everything runs through the UNIBEN job portal. The entire process is online, so no need to print out anything or carry files from one office to the next. The application stays open for six weeks from the day it was announced, so there’s time — but don’t sleep on it.

Who Can Apply?

This call is open to both internal and external candidates. That means you don’t have to be working in UNIBEN or any university to get a shot.

Let’s break it down.

For Academic Staff: The Teaching Arm

General Qualifications

The short version? You need a Ph.D. Or you should be working on one.

Here’s how it breaks down:

  • Professor or Associate Professor: A Ph.D. in the relevant field. Long years of teaching, strong research profile, and a good number of published works.
  • Senior Lecturer: Ph.D. plus 5 years of experience and at least 8 publications.
  • Lecturer I & II: Ph.D. or Master’s (with extra years of teaching). You need at least 3 publications.
  • Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree and proof that your Ph.D. is underway.
  • Graduate Assistant: Must have finished with a Second Class Upper or better. First Class? Even better. NYSC certificate is a must.

Documents to Upload

  • A detailed CV with everything from your work history to your hobbies
  • Credentials (degrees, NYSC, etc.)
  • Proof of teaching and research work
  • List of your published papers (in the right order)
  • Referee contacts (three of them)

Heads up: Referees must send their reports directly to the Registrar, not later than one week after applications close. One of them must know you from your last job.

For Non-Academic Staff: Admin, Health and More

UNIBEN is also looking to fill non-teaching positions, from office assistants to medical officers. These roles come with their own requirements, depending on the level.

Here are a few examples:

Senior Roles

  • Administrative Assistant (CONTISS 07): Second Class Lower or above, any discipline. Must know how to use a computer.
  • Confidential Secretary I & II: Strong typing and shorthand skills. You need an HND or ND in Secretarial Studies. Computer knowledge? Non-negotiable.
  • Medical Staff: For example, pharmacists must have a B.Pharm or Pharm.D and be registered. Nurses should have RN/RM with more training on top.
  • Medical Lab Technologists: Need a BMLS and valid registration with MLSCN.

Junior Staff Roles

  • Senior Driver: WAEC or NECO with English and Maths. A valid driver’s license and 4 years behind the wheel.
  • Clerical Officers: Minimum of five credits including English. Basic computer knowledge helps.
  • Computer Operators: At least 5 credits in WAEC or NECO, with a certificate in computer operations.
  • Lab Assistants: Need a national certificate in lab assistance and at least 4 years of relevant work.

Some of the smaller roles don’t ask for degrees, just experience and basic certificates. So if you don’t have a B.Sc., you’re not out of luck.

How to Structure Your CV

They’re pretty specific about what your CV should look like. These are some of the details they want:

  • Full name (surname underlined)
  • Job you’re applying for
  • Date and place of birth
  • Contact details (phone, email)
  • Education history (with dates)
  • Degrees and other qualifications
  • Work history (dates, positions held)
  • Professional bodies you’re part of
  • Community work and hobbies
  • Referees (full names and addresses)

Keep it neat. Don’t skip anything.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will hear back
  • All positions require basic computer literacy
  • Deadline is six weeks from when the job was posted
  • Referees must send letters to the Registrar (use the subject line to state your name and the post)

Here’s the thing: a lot of people will apply. Some just to try their luck. If you’re serious, take the application seriously. Get your documents ready. Reach out to your referees on time. And don’t wait till the last week to apply. Nigerian internet can disappoint at the wrong time, no be joke.

Tansian University, TANU
Tansian University Post-UTME & DE Form 2025/2026 Is Out

Tansian University is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry. This article breaks down who can apply, how to register, and where to get the form. Read on if you’re planning to study there.

So the gates are open again at Tansian University, and if you’re looking for admission into the 2025/2026 session, it might just be time to make a move. The school has rolled out its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening, and yes, the application form is out already. No long talk.

You don’t even need to have picked Tansian in JAMB to apply. They’re keeping things flexible, which is rare these days. Maybe you didn’t plan to apply here at first, but well, plans can change.

If you wrote this year’s UTME, then that’s step one done.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • The minimum UTME score (as approved by JAMB) for your chosen course
  • The required academic qualifications (SSCE, NECO, GCE or equivalent)
  • You don’t have to choose Tansian as your school of choice during JAMB to be eligible. That’s a green light for a lot of people who missed out earlier

For Direct Entry

They’re also accepting NCE holders for the two- or three-year degree options in the Faculty of Education. If you’ve got that qualification and you’re tired of being in limbo, this could be your next step.

How to Apply (Without Getting Confused)

The process is simple, nothing too techy.

Step 1: Choose Your Course

Check out the full list of courses offered by the university. Don’t just pick at random. Go with something that fits your strengths or what you see yourself doing long-term.

You’ll find the course list and more details on the Tansian University admissions page.

Step 2: Make Payment and Apply Online

You’ll need to pay ₦10,000 for the application form. Pay into:

Bank: Polaris Bank Plc
Account Number: 4091963018
Account Name: Tansian University Umunya

After payment, fill the form online and submit. You’ll get a confirmation message once your application goes through. Don’t skip or rush this part. Double-check everything.

Step 3: Go to the School for Registration

Once your online form is accepted, the next move is physical.

Take your credentials and proof of payment to the Registrar’s Office at Tansian University, Umunya or Oba campus in Anambra State. They need to verify everything before your admission moves forward.

Prefer Buying the Form in Person?

No wahala. You can also walk into any of these locations to get the form:

  • Tansian University Main Campus (Umunya or Oba, Anambra State)
  • Konigin Des Friedens College, Enugu: No. 1 Queen of Peace Drive, Off Awkunanaw Street, Achara Layout
  • Our Lady Waldenstein Educational Centre, Oka-Uga, Aguata LGA, Anambra

Just go along with your ₦10,000 and request the application form.

When you collect it, fill and return to the Registrar’s Office with proof of payment. Originals only o. No photocopies for this one.

Quick Note on Screening

Screening is already on. Yes, like right now. So the earlier you wrap up your application, the better your chances of being processed early. Avoid last-minute runs.

Tansian University Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026 Out

Tansian University is accepting postgraduate applications for 2025/2026. This post outlines who qualifies, available courses, and how to apply. Read on if you’re planning to further your studies.

There’s something about moving from one degree to the next. It feels like progress, or at least, like you’re still trying. If you’ve been thinking of going back for that PGD, Master’s or PhD, then you might want to keep reading. Tansian University just opened up their postgraduate admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

This isn’t one of those rushed announcements that vanish in two days. The form is out, the process is simple, and they’ve laid out everything pretty clearly. Well, mostly.

Programmes on Offer

Let’s start with what’s actually available. Tansian isn’t offering a thousand random courses. They’ve picked areas where they already have some structure. Here’s what’s up:

  1. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Accountancy
  2. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Business Administration
  3. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Journalism and Media Studies
  4. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Broadcasting
  5. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Political Science
  6. MA and PhD in Philosophy
  7. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Computer Science
  8. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Biochemistry
  9. PGD, M.Sc., and PhD in Microbiology

That’s it. No tricks. Just a focused list of serious academic paths.

Who Can Apply?

Tansian has opened its doors to anyone who meets the basic requirements. You don’t have to be a former student. What matters is your result and how you fit in.

Let’s break this down.

General Requirements

Every applicant needs at least five credit passes in subjects like English and Maths. This must come from WASSCE, GCE, NECO or NABTEB, and not in more than two sittings.

You also need to meet the entry requirement for the course you’re applying for, both at undergrad and postgrad levels.

For PGD (Postgraduate Diploma)

You need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a Third Class or higher (GPA of at least 2.0 on a 5-point scale)
  • Or an HND with at least 3.5 GPA
  • In some special cases, you might be required to take extra tests by the faculty
  • If you have professional qualifications, make sure you also passed through the normal O’level path

For Master’s Degree

You qualify if you:

  • Graduated with at least a Second Class Lower, and have a GPA of 2.5 or more
  • Or you hold a PGD in a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale

For PhD Programme

Here’s where it gets serious:

  • You must already hold a Master’s degree in the course or something related
  • Your GPA should be at least 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale

That’s the bare minimum. Anything below that and you’re probably wasting the ₦20,000.

How to Apply (Step by Step)

You don’t need to be a tech genius to figure this out. Here’s the flow:

  1. Pay ₦20,000 for the form.
    • Bank: FCMB
    • Account Name: Tansian University
    • Account Number: 1458541012
  2. Go to the Tansian postgraduate application page and download the form.
  3. Fill it carefully. Don’t rush. Mistakes might cost you later.
  4. Submit the following to the School of Postgraduate Studies:
    • The completed application form
    • Your bank payment slip
    • Academic certificates
    • Any other relevant documents

The earlier you do this, the better. Nobody wants to be left behind when the screening starts.

Screening? Yes.

Every applicant will face some form of screening. It might be written, it might be oral, or both. The date isn’t out yet, but the school says they’ll send info to all applicants directly.

So if your email inbox is always full of random junk, better start checking properly.

Got Questions?

If anything feels confusing or unclear, reach out. Tansian didn’t just drop numbers for show.

  • Call:
    08035836516
    08064131134
    08064378213
  • Email: admissionspgs@tansianuniversity.edu.ng

They’ll answer. Well, hopefully. If not today, maybe tomorrow. Just keep trying.

Plateau College of Health Technology, Zawan CHT-ZAWAN
See PLASU Departmental Admission Cut-Off Marks for 2025/2026

Plateau State University has released its 2025/2026 departmental cut-off marks. This guide lists the required scores for each course and helps you figure out where you stand. Read through if PLASU is on your list.

So you’ve done the hard part — wrote the UTME, probably refreshed the JAMB portal more times than you’d admit, and now, you’re wondering if your score will get you into Plateau State University (PLASU). The school has finally released its departmental cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic session. No long story. Just raw numbers and what they mean for you.

If you’re eyeing Nursing or Mass Comm, brace yourself. If it’s Crop Production or Theatre Arts, you might breathe easier. Or maybe not. Let’s break it all down.

First, What Are Cut-Off Marks?

For those hearing about them for the first time, cut-off marks are like the score you need to meet — or beat — if you want to be considered for a course. Each department has its own, based on how many people apply and how competitive the course is.

Now, let’s look at the list.

College of Health Sciences

You probably guessed right — this faculty is tight.

  • Medical Laboratory Science – 230
  • Nursing Science – 230
  • Public Health – 210

College of Medicine

One course here, and it’s as high as you’d expect.

  • Medicine and Surgery – 230

College of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Also one course, also high.

  • Pharmacy – 230

Faculty of Agricultural Sciences

Good news if you’re into farming or agribusiness. The bar’s more friendly here.

  • Crop Production – 160
  • Animal Production – 160
  • Agricultural Economics and Extension – 160

Faculty of Arts

  • English Language – 160
  • History and International Studies – 160
  • Religious and Cultural Studies – 160
  • Theatre Arts – 180

So if you’re that dramatic soul who wants to act or direct, Theatre Arts might still give you a run.

Faculty of Environmental Sciences

  • Architecture – 160
  • Building – 160
  • Geography – 160

Faculty of Education

Whether it’s Maths, Biology or CRS, the cut-off is the same.

  • Biology Education – 160
  • Mathematics Education – 160
  • Chemistry Education – 160
  • Physics Education – 160
  • English Education – 160
  • Christian Religious Studies Education – 160

Faculty of Law

Not for the faint-hearted.

  • Law – 220

So if you’re planning to wear the wig and gown, better come prepared.

Faculty of Management Sciences

  • Accounting – 180
  • Management Studies – 160
  • Entrepreneurial Science – 170

Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences

This one’s long, so take it slow.

  • Biochemistry – 180
  • Chemistry – 160
  • Computer Science – 170
  • Mathematics – 160
  • Microbiology – 170
  • Physics – 160
  • Plant Science and Biotechnology – 160
  • Zoology – 160
  • Statistics – 160
  • Information Technology – 160

If you’re into tech or science, there’s range here. Not every course hits 180.

Faculty of Social Sciences

This part is packed and fairly balanced.

  • Political Science – 160
  • Mass Communication – 180
  • Sociology – 180
  • Psychology – 170
  • Economics – 180
  • Library and Information Science – 160

So, What Next?

If your score matches or beats your chosen course’s cut-off, congrats, you’re on the safe side. But if you fall short, you might want to consider a change of course, or try again next year. Life no dey finish.

At the end of the day, cut-off marks don’t define you, but they do set the rules for the game. So play smart.

And if you’re still unsure or trying to choose between two departments, print this out, grab a biro, and start crossing out your options. It might help more than staring at the screen all day.

Federal University of Kashere, FUKASHERE
FUKASHERE Part-Time Admission Form 2025/2026 – No JAMB

FUKASHERE has opened applications for its 2025/2026 part-time degree programmes. This article breaks down available courses, who can apply, and how to register. Read on if you’re working or want a flexible way to get a degree.

Not everyone has the chance to study full-time. Some people work, some raise families, and some just need school to fit around life, not the other way round. If that sounds like you, then this might be the update you’ve been waiting for.

Federal University of Kashere (FUKASHERE) has opened up part-time undergraduate admissions for the 2025/2026 academic session, and the good part? You don’t need JAMB to get in. It’s straight-up application, no UTME stress.

What You Can Study

FUKASHERE isn’t throwing just one or two random courses out there. They’ve opened quite a good number, spread across various faculties. Here’s the breakdown:

What Makes This Program Different?

This is not the usual full-time hustle. Here’s what makes FUKASHERE’s part-time offer stand out:

  • No JAMB required. That’s already a relief for many.
  • Classes only on Fridays and Saturdays. That means your weekdays are free.
  • The same certificate as regular students. No special tag or label.
  • Affordable fees and no strike wahala. Really. The calendar stays on track.
  • Perfect for workers and older learners. You don’t need to explain why you want to study at 28 or 38. It’s built for that.

Who Can Apply?

For 100 Level Admission:

You need at least five credits at O’Level, including English and Maths. The subjects must match your course of interest.

For 200 Level (Direct Entry):

You must have one of these:

  • NCE
  • OND

  • Or anything similar that counts as a recognised qualification

How Long Will It Take?

The duration depends on where you’re starting from:

  • If you enter through 100 Level, it’s a 5-year journey
  • If you’re coming in through Direct Entry (200 Level), it’s 4 years

Time will still fly. By the time you blink twice and attend enough weekend classes, you’ll be counting down to graduation.

It’s online, thankfully. No need to queue under the sun.

Here’s the process:

  1. Visit the application portal
  2. Create your profile

The results are out. Yep, WAEC don drop the thing.

By now, some people are already staring at their phones like it’s about to explode. Others? Acting like they didn’t even write the exam. Maybe na defence mechanism. But for those of you who are ready to check—or maybe your auntie won’t stop asking—this one is for you. I’ve made it simple enough, like indomie with only pepper and oil.

Yes, the West Afican Examinations Council (WAEC) confirmed that the 2025 May/June WASSCE results are now live.

Over 1.7 million students sat for the exam. About 87 per cent of them made it out with at least five credits. English and Maths or not, credit na credit.

What You Need Before You Start Clicking

Before you rush to the site like someone chasing free Wi-Fi, just chill small. Gather these things first:

  • Your WAEC exam number – That’s your centre number plus seat number. Ten digits in all.
  • The PIN and Serial Number – Look for them on the Smart ID card you used for the exam. You know, the one with your sleepy face.

No PIN? No wahala. There’s a way to get another one. Let’s talk about that.

How To Buy A New WAEC Result Checker PIN

So your PIN vanished? Maybe your younger sibling used the card to draw robot or it just disappeared like money on the last day of the month. Either way, here’s how to buy a fresh one:

  1. Visit the WAEC Request Portal
  2. When the page opens, wait for your transaction reference to pop up on its own
  3. Under “Request Type”, pick Request For Service
  4. Then choose Sale of WAEC Direct Result Checker
  5. Enter your name, phone number and email
  6. Click to proceed and pay ₦4,250

Once payment goes through, your new PIN go land sharp sharp. Save it somewhere o. Don’t trust your memory too much.

How To Check Your WAEC Result Online

You’ve got the number, the PIN and the vibe. Time to check.

Head over to the WAEC Result Portal and do this:

  • Enter your exam number
  • Pick 2025 as the exam year
  • Choose School Candidate Result
  • Type in your PIN and Serial Number
  • Hit Submit

Don’t start double-clicking like the mouse is dragging you. Just wait. Give it a few seconds. Your result go show.

No Internet? Use SMS Instead

If your internet is moving like NEPA light during rain, there’s Plan B.

Text format looks like this:

WAECExamNumberPIN*ExamYear

Then send to 32327.

Only MTN, Airtel and Glo dey allowed for this one. If you’re on 9mobile, try the online route. Or borrow someone phone, no shame.

It costs ₦30. If that sounds painful, think of it like paying for one meat pie that didn’t have meat inside.

Example

If your number is 4250101001 and your PIN is 123456789012, your message should look like this:

WAEC4250101001123456789012*2025

Hit send. Wait. The result will show up in your inbox like an unexpected text from your crush.

Trouble? Something Not Working?

Let’s say you tried everything and your result is still forming hard guy. Time to call for backup.

WAEC
c Releases 2025 May/June Results Statistics with Over 38% Pass

WAEC has released the 2025 May/June WASSCE results with a sharp drop in performance compared to last year. This article breaks down the numbers, why fewer students passed with core subjects, and the issues WAEC is tackling behind the scenes. Keep reading to understand what really went down.

It started with the usual buzz. Parents whispering in church, classmates forming cool as they secretly refresh the WAEC site every ten minutes. Some people already checked theirs, others are avoiding their phones like they owe it money.

Well, it’s official. WAEC has released the results for the 2025 May/June exam. But this time, the gist no sweet like last year.

Out of nearly two million students who registered, about 1,969,313 actually showed up and wrote the exam. That’s across Nigeria and a few other countries—Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea. Yes, those ones too use our curriculum.

Now here’s where it gets tricky.

WAEC’s Head of Nigeria Office, Amos Dangut, didn’t sugarcoat anything at the Lagos press briefing. While 87.24 percent of the candidates scored credit and above in five subjects (regardless of whether English or Maths was among them), only 38.32 percent made it with both English and Maths included.

Last year, over 72 percent hit that mark. So this year’s result? A major drop. Roughly 34 percent gone, just like that.

Let that sink in.

What Went Wrong?

WAEC says they’ve been trying to clamp down on malpractice, and that may be why scores dropped.

One of the new things they did was “serialise” the objective papers in major subjects like English, Maths, Biology and Economics. That means your neighbour couldn’t easily peep and copy answers. If your version said “A”, theirs might say “C”. Game over for expo.

And honestly, it probably worked. Maybe too well.

According to Mr Dangut, more girls sat the exam than boys. A small win, maybe. 992,526 were female and 976,787 were male.

Also, WAEC made space for students with special needs—over 12,000 of them. From those with sight issues to others battling mental health conditions, the council said it did what it could to support everyone. Their results? Released too.

But not everyone got feedback yet. About 451,796 candidates are still waiting because of one problem or the other—like pending subjects or technical hiccups. That’s nearly a quarter of all who sat.

Still, WAEC promises to sort it soon. How soon? They didn’t say exactly, but fingers crossed.

Exam Malpractice

Even with all the anti-cheating moves, 262,803 candidates had their results withheld. That’s 13 percent of all test takers. The council suspects they got involved in some shady exam activity.

Now, investigations are ongoing. WAEC’s Nigeria Examinations Committee will later decide who gets punished and who gets cleared.

And guess what? It wasn’t just students. Mr Dangut called out some supervisors and invigilators for “helping” candidates. It seems some grown-ups decided to play smart too.

WAEC says it’s working with state ministries to make sure those officials face music.
