General Requirements for LASU Job Recruitment
Candidates applying for the LASU Job Recruitment must meet the following conditions based on their desired position:
- Professor: Minimum of ten (10) years post-doctoral experience with at least twenty-five (25) academic publications.
- Associate Professor: Eight (8) years post-doctoral experience and at least twenty (20) publications.
- Senior Lecturer: Six (6) years post-doctoral experience and fifteen (15) publications.
- Lecturer I: Three (3) years post-doctoral experience with at least five (5) publications.
- Lecturer II: PhD in a relevant field with at least two (2) publications.
- Assistant Lecturer: Master’s degree (M.A., M.Ed., or M.Sc.) in a relevant field, with proof of PhD admission.
- Technologist: Minimum of M.Sc. in Geography (Climatology or Environmental Geography).
Applicants must also have:
- Five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics.
- A first degree of at least Second-Class Lower Division.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Membership in relevant professional bodies is required for senior roles in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences.
